Apartment overview - owner's description

New spacious apartment in a quaint Spanish style complex. Double bedroom, kitchen, dining/living area, king size sofa bed. Pool. Bars & restauarants minutes walk. From €140 per week!

This bright and spacious ground floor apartment with views onto the neighboring orange grove sleeps four. This can be extended to 5 for a baby or small child - if bring your own travel cot/bed or the owners can arrange for one to be hired and paid for locally, it will be there for you on arrival if you order in advance.

The living/dining room
This spacious area has a king size Ikea sofa bed and a smaller sofa bed, coffee table, glass fronted side board with plenty of storage space, fan to keep things cool, radiator, TV, video, DVD, local satelite TV and radio. The owner had provided information on local tourist attractions, magazines etc. There is a dining table with four chairs.

The Kitchen/Dining Area
Has a modern kitchen and breakfast bar. It equipped with a 4-ring ceramic hob, oven, extractor fan, kettle, washing machine and fridge freezer. All pots and pans, glasses, cutlery and crockery are provided.

The Bedroom
Has a double bed (not often found in 1 bedroom apartments), 2 bedside cabinets with bedside lamps, alarm clock, a large full-length fitted double wardrobe - hangers are provided, fan and hair dryer. Your suitcases can be stored out of sight under the bed or in the wardrobe.

The Bathroom
Has a bath with shower, washbasin an attractive marble surround and storage underneath, large mirror, WC & bidet for your use. Towels are also provided but please bring your own beach towels.

Patio doors lead onto the balcony with table and chairs. The balcony overlooks an citurs grove owned by a local farmer. There is off road parking outside the apartment, so you can keep an eye on your hire car.

There is a childs pushchair in the apartment for guests use.

Close to the apartment
It’s just a 5 minute walk into the centre of Almoradi where there is a church and town square shaded by trees, where local people relax and have a drink. The square is a real social meeting place for people of all ages to congregate. There are approx 50 bars, café’s and restaurants (including Spainish, British & Irish) all within minutes walk from the apartment and on a Saturday the town hosts a local market with fresh food and local wares. For a light bite I recommend Cafe Vienna on Calle San Emigdio, for great value. For an early morning cafe con leche join the throngs of locals in cafe Tropicana on Calle Cervantes. For great tapas try Angel bar on Calle Pablo Picasso and for a great steak and a bit of Irish banter try Redz bar & restaurant on Calle Canalejas. If you are looking for live music try the Greenhouse on Calle Mayor between Bar Elite and the Welsh bar, the Red Dragon. There is usually a good mix of Spanish and British bands playing. For an early morning cafe con leche join the throngs of locals in cafe Tropicana on Calle Cervantes,Comic bar where the owner is very friendly or treat yourself to a decadent pastry in Epinosa Bakery at Calle 9 de Octobre

The local resorts of Guadamar (15km) with its beautiful beaches and Torreveja (20km) with beaches, a harbour and a more lively atmosphere are close by.

The apartments are located close to the popular golf courses of La Finca plus another 8 courses all within a 30km radius.

There is a bus stop 4 minutes walk from the apartment. The local buses go to many places including Guadamar beach, Torrevieja, Elche, Dolores, Algorfa, Benijofar, Callosa, Quesada and Oriheula.

Derek in Cafe Vienna provides a reasonable taxi service. There is also a car hire office located 1 minute from the apartment.

Almoradi is located on the northern side of the Segura River, on the southern Costa Blanca, it is only a 10 minute drive to the beautiful sandy beaches of Guadamar and 20 minutes drive to the more lively town of Torreveja with it’s harbor and bustling atmosphere.
Almoradi is well situated for access from the AP7 motorway and that also makes getting to Alicante and Murcia airports easy.
In recent times there has been increased interest in the town. It has to be said Almoradi does offer something a little different from that of many of coastal towns it is quieter, & has retained much of its inherent culture & tradition. Unlike the coastal resorts that become ghost towns out of holiday season, Almoradi stays vibrant and alive all year round
Sporting enthusiasts are still well catered for here, with the town boasting a good municipal swimming pool & other facilities. Almoradi is no more than a 20 minute drive from a good selection of golf courses with La Finca & la Marquesa clubs significantly closer. There are also 2 waterparks close by.
There are many fiestas (festivals) throughout Almoradis calendar, some of which are a real spectacle & well worth a look. The cuisine is another major bonus though made up of mainly traditional Spanish fare although international tastes are also catered for. You will find bars and restaurants catering for most tastes from traditional Spanish food through to Chinese and even your full English breakfast for those missing the taste of home
Almoradi boasts a thriving, bustling traditional market every Saturday morning. If thats not enough for you, you will also find Dolores holds a market every Friday morning and Catral holds one every Saturday morning .
Almoradi is also well known for its mild climate & the entire region enjoys sunshine for in excess of 320 days per year. The sun is at its hottest during the summer months, with temperatures rarely falling below 30°C (86°F). Winters are typically very mild with averages hovering around 18°C (64°F).

Really nice relaxing holiday for our family 2 adults and 2 children age 2 and 4 just wanted to say the area is nice and quiet but within walking distance of bars and restaurants.The apartment is excellent and so is the pool area, the residents give good friendly advice.In the whole for value for money 10 out of 10.

Had a great time at this fab apartment! It is off the beaten track a little as its not on the beach, however it more than made up for it in a variety of ways. Loved the town, its a Spanish town and we were really welcome. Its right off the main road (AP-7) that runs along the length of Spain from Valencia to the mountains at this south- this was invaluable as we got around so quickly to 3 fantastic beaches. The apartment and complex were beautiful and it felt like a proper holiday.

We would highly recommend it a friend- a have already! It was great value for money and overall we were exceptionally pleased.

This apartment is in the town but in a quiet area near the mountains. It has a shared pool, a balcony and outside lighting. Car hire is not necessary as the apartment is less than a 15 minute walk to a large selection of shops, bars, restaurants; however parking is available if required.

The apartment is a short walk to the local supermarket on Calle Espana. The are several great bars just off the town square inclusing Cafe Vienna, Tropicana, the Red Dragon & the Greenhouse which has live music every weekend. he best supermarket is the large Mercadona at 17 Calle Comunidad Valencia (on the same street as the theatre). Try the local bakery San Andres, a few mins walk from the apartment, on Calle Communidad Valencia, for a fresh baguette or pastry for breakfast in the morning. The property overlooks a citrus grove.

We purchased the property in Almoradi with a small local expat community so that we could enjoy the real Spain. It is used primarily as a holiday home by our family and occassionally we let the apartment. Almoradi is such a relaxing place to visit and so easy to get to from either Alicante or Murcia airport
