This modern 2 bedroom apartment is located in Alameda del Mar in Playa Flamenca, a few miles south of the typically Spanish seaside town of Torrevieja. With both bedrooms having an en-suite bathroom and good size living area, this apartment is perfect for two couples as well as a family.

The complex is situated in beautifully landscaped gardens with four swimming pools and is fully enclosed with secure gated access and private parking. The apartment faces the quieter west facing side of the complex so you can enjoy the afternoon and evening sun from the full size balcony.

This apartment offers something for everyone and your stay can be as active or as relaxing as you like. With only a 25 minute drive to Murcia airport and 35 minute drive to Alicante airport, its perfectly positioned for you to take advantage of over 300 days of sunshine here on the Costa Blanca. With access from many UK airports and a short flight time of just over 2 hours, its not only perfect for your summer holiday but also for long weekend breaks all year round.

Accommodation details
The apartment is accessed through one of the two secure access gates, where allocated parking is provided close to the apartment. The apartment itself is on the second floor and can be reached either by stairs, or lift.

The apartment door opens into a spacious, light and airy living area. Inside is a modern fully fitted kitchen area including a hob, oven,microwave and fridge-freezer. Everything is provided to enable preparation of a meal for four although with such a wide choice of restaurants within walking distance, you may choose to relax and let others do the hard work. If you do choose to eat in, there is a dining room table and chairs in the centre of the apartment for your use.

We will provide you with a welcome food pack in the kitchen ready for your arrival.

At the front of the apartment is the main living area which has a 3 seater sofa and two chairs. Satellite Television is provided offering over 60 channels and a music player to play CDs, cassette tapes or radio. The patio doors from the lounge lead out onto a good size full length balcony that faces west to benefit from afternoon and evening sunshine. A patio table and chairs are provided so that you can sit out and relax while watching the sun go down in the evening.

The master bedroom contains a double bed, bedside cabinets and a fitted wardrobe. There is an en-suite bathroom off the master bedroom with bath and shower. There are patio doors that can be opened to allow access to the balcony. The second bedroom has two single beds although they can be moved together to form a double if required. There is a fitted wardrobe and en-suite shower room.

There is also a utility area with a washing machine and space for storage. In the grounds which are landscaped and well maintained, are paths leading to the four swimming pools available for your use. In the centre of the complex is the main pool and sunbathing area. The other three slightly smaller pools are situated around the perimeter of the complex to the East, South and West sides. If you love all day sunbathing, you can start at the East pool when the sun rises, head to the South pool during the midday sun and end up at the West pool for the end of the day.

General information
The name “Costa Blanca” translates to “White coast” and Playa Flamenca is one of the most desirable locations along this stretch of the Costa Blanca. The beach areas have recently undergone a programme of works and are now even better than before. Walkways have been installed providing easy access along the coastline. Cliff top walks have been provided and eventually they will allow access all the way from the busy town of Torrevieja, past the fabulous resorts of Punta Prima, Playa Flamenca, La Zenia and on to Cabo Roig.

The main beaches of Punta Prima, Playa Flamenca and la Zenia are all within walking distance of our apartment. If you have a car during your stay, youll be able to reach many more beaches including over 15 kilometres of golden sand stretching from La Mata, past Guardamar with its beautiful pine forests to La Marina.

Playa Flamenca holds a market every Saturday offering everything from fresh locally grown produce to clothes, bags, flowers and sweets, don’t forget to grab a freshly spit-roasted chicken while you are there, flavoured with garlic and absolutely delicious. You can also try a Spanish paella or a Spanish omelette, cooked in the traditional way, if you wish you can even watch while it is being made.

Just a 5 minute walk from the apartment is the Playa Flamenca commercial centre where you will find local shops including a supermarket and a wide range of restaurants offering dishes from all over the world. There are also plenty of opportunities to try a spot of karaoke, watch a live act, catch up on the latest sport or join in a pub quiz. For those who fancy a quieter evening, a 10 minute walk in the opposite direction brings you to Punta Prima and a different selection of restaurants and bars for you to enjoy. If you prefer al fresco dining by the sea, simply stroll down to the seafront to the Nautilus bar and lap up the beautiful sea views.

The year-round climate on the Costa Blanca makes this area ideal for a golfing holiday at any time of the year. Its a golfers paradise with the three top courses of Villamartin, Las Ramblas and Campoamor just a 5 minute drive away. Extending your driving time by about 15 minutes and youll have an even greater choice including La Marquesa in Rojales and La Finca at Algorfa. In fact, you can try a different course for every day of the week.

Just a short drive or bus ride up the road is the bustling Spanish harbour town of Torrevieja. Torrevieja is an all-year town and still retains much of its original charm and character, complete with its own harbour and fishing fleets. The Friday market is the perfect place to stock up on fresh produce, leather goods and clothes and is a short walk up from the sea front in the centre of town.

From the harbour in the centre of Torrevieja, you can enjoy walks in both directions along the seafront. Heading south leads you towards the conveyor belt that takes the famous Torrevieja salt from the lakes down to the sea for loading and transportation by boat. It is here that you will find Los Naufragos beach.

For those who fancy somewhere with a little bit more of a buzz, you can head to the sea via the promenade, a journey that will take you first to Playa del Cura and then on to the beautiful beach of Playa Los Locos. Both are popular and lively beaches on account of their fine sand, calm waters, a full range of facilities and the benefit of a bustling seafront promenade.

Evenings are a good time for a stroll along the seafront in Torrevieja and youll find the place bustling with Spanish locals and tourists alike. Enjoy refreshing drinks, ice creams or even dine al-fresco before heading back towards our apartment. You will find a wonderful choice of restaurants and bars to relax and dine at in Torrevieja.

For the more adventurous with a car, youll find many places within easy reach. The towns of Alicante or Murcia are perfect for a Spanish shopping experience. Heading inland will take you to many typical Spanish towns and villages where you can soak up the real Spanish atmosphere and way of life. Make sure to find out if there are any local fiestas taking place during your stay, particularly the Moors and Christians celebration. They are loud, colourful, exciting and well worth a visit.

Excellent apartment set in wonderful grounds. 4 very nice pools, none that ever seem to get too crowded. Fabulous bars and restraunts all within walking distance. Great shopping to be found at Zenia Boulevard about a 30 minute walk. Beaches about a 20 min walk along cycle path on busy main road, but well worth the trip. Fantastic communication throughout with owners. Would highly recommend

Fantastic Holiday - Ian & Carol are brilliant. We were met at the apartment at 11.30pm and despite being an hour later than we said Ian was waiting for us, he showed us all around and was ready and willing to explain all about the surrounding area and answer any questions we had. Arriving that late on a Saturday night it was a welcome sight to have a welcome pack of Milk, Bread, Butter, Ham & cheese. We were two couples so to have two bathrooms was a godsend. The apartment was close to the beach although we had a car as we didnt fancy the walk back. It is close to shops and supermarket and the shopping center is also not that far away - 15 minutes walk. The pool on our side of the complex was lovely in the afternoon, but the man pool in the middle had the sun from early morning so was nice to it around and relax. Everyone we bumped into in the complex were nice and pleasant, we never felt out of place. Ian & Carol met us at the end of the holiday to collect the keys ad ensure we enjoyed ourselves. If you are looking for a home from home then this is it - for one week it certainly felt like our home and we will be back.

lovely clean and safe apartment with everything we needed. location is great, short stroll to many bars, restaurants and supermarkets and about a 15 min walk to the beach. communication with Ian (the owner) was very easy and he even arranged airport transfers. welcome pack was a godsend as we arrived late and the supermarkets where closed. Many thanks to Ian and his lovely wife Carol for a wonderful stay.

We really enjoyed our recent holiday in Playa Flamenca, there is everything you need within a short walking distance from bars to newsagents, restaurants and shopping centres and the nearest beaches are within a pleasant twenty minute stroll. Zenia Boulevard is a fantastic new venue with a bowling alley, bars and eateries and lots of shops including a Primark and a huge supermarket called Alcampo. The apartment is in a great location overlooking one of the swimming pools, the sun is on the balcony from lunchtime until sunset and is great for private sunbathing. Ian and Carol keep the place spotless and provide a personal meet and greet service both on arrival and departure. The apartment is very clean and comfortable and all the household items are in excellent condition. The provision of a welcome pack with milk, coffee, crisps and even a bottle of wine was a lovely touch and much appreciated. I have no hesitation in recommending this apartment to anyone considering booking, just dont book the dates I want next time!

Staying in this 2 bedroomed property proved to be excellent value for money, with the quality throughout the apartment proving to be of a very high standard. It was very spacious with lovely decoration that gave that summery feel. The complex also is great with numerous pools to choose from, meaning you can opt for a nice peaceful day by on of the smaller pools or a louder more upbeat environment at the larger pool in the centre of the complex. The residents of the complex, some full time and others simply on holiday the same as us, were very pleasent and helpful in reccomending various things. The surrounding area of the property was also excellent and there was certainly no lack in choice of places to go for a nice drink or meal. With a commercial centre a 2 minute walk down the road there is a wide variety of resturaunts inclunding traditional English pubs, Irish pubs, tex mex, Thai, Chinese buffets, Indians and so many more. It was a brilliant holiday which would be ideal for all, whether a family or simply a couple. We do hope to return and relive this amazing holiday. Highly reccomend to anyone showing interest.

I and my family had very nice holidays. Apartment matches the description. Everything is exactly as you can see on the pictures. Ian and Carol (property owners) are very nice people. We realy would be glad to come again. Thanks! We have only one remark and it adresses more to the authorities of the city - would you please make more crosswalks through the main highway as the distance between two of them now is about 3 km. Our property is just in the middle, so, every day we did a long way to the Flamenca beach and back home.

This is an excellent apartment in an excellent location, close to supermarkets and restaurants. I have stayed in Playa flamenca for the last 3 years and I would definitely go back to La Calma next year. Ian was an excellent host and the welcoming pack was much appreciated by my wife pat and myself. If I cant get a 1 bedroom I would try to rent Ians 2 bedroom next year. This location is very central to all amenities and you do not need to hire a car. Charlie and Pat Doherty.

The service provided by Ian and Carol was great, they arranged to meet me on arrival and were there waiting. The level of communication before arrival and after was great. They also provided an arrival package with everything you would need for your first day/evening which was very thoughtful and unexpected. The accommodation was clean well maintained and comfortable, like a home from home. Would definitely recommend.

The property was very clean and the welcome pack was more than could be expected. The property owners made us feel very welcome on our arrival. The description of the property was extreemly accurate as described on the web site. We would have no hesitation in recommending this property to friends and relatives. The property was very well equiped with appliances very much a home from home feeling, nothing to go searching for everything to hand.

Full marks for the welcome given to us by the owners and the provisions supplied in the fridge! The apartment was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The only downsides - completely out of the owners control - were the 8 hours/day relentless noise from the building works nearby (hopefully to be finished soon) and the lack of public transport. Excellant accomodation, owner Ian was very helpful. Wide range of bars and restaurants less than 10 minutes walk away. Some lovely beaches only about a 15 minute walk away. Shops also very close. No need for a car, unless you want to explore. The west facing balcony gets the full sun from midday onwards, and you see a lovely sunset. The choice of 4 pools on the complex ensured we always found a quieter one.

This apartment is perfectly located to provide you with a relaxing break yet is still close to all of the facilities you may require. As owners, we have stayed there many times over the past four years and love the diversity of the area. You can make your stay as peaceful or as lively as you want, the choice is yours. Relax in the landscaped complex by one of the four pools, laze on one of the golden sandy beaches, try a round of golf at one of the top local courses of simply explore the area and all that it has to offer.Whatever you choose and whatever you do, we are sure you will enjoy your stay.We hope to see you on the sunny Costa Blanca soon.Ian and Carol Jefferies (property owners)
