Have you ever rented a whole village for your holidays? In São Gregório near Borba, in the heart of wine production countryside and close to the world known Heritage- the city of Évora (20 minutes car driving) you can make this experience. The lovely village of 12 houses and a church has won already the silver medal of merit for tourism from the Chamber of Tourism of Lisbon. 4 of the houses can be rent together or separately. They provide a comfortable accommodation for 12 people for holidays in the perfect union of nature and amazing sensation of peace. All the houses of São Gregório are maintaining the architectural features of the region but offer a comfort of XX century, Wi-Fi, and a private pool just for the village "inhabitants" in a distance of 100 m. The village is surrounded by vineyards inviting for nature walks in a quiet, unspoilt countryside and in the evening to enjoy the magnificent sunsets and a sky full of stars that you will never forget. Those who are looking for several sport activities can choose between canoeing on the Alqueva, the biggest dam in Europe, mountain bike and horse riding. In a few minutes car driving can be reached the city of Borba, famous for its wine cellars, delicious gastronomy, crafts and antiques. The lovely village São Gregório is located between Lisbon (175 km) and Seville in Spain (274 km). The closest airport is in Badajoz- just in a distance of 68 km.The House "Casa Grande" (PTJ001) accommodates comfortable 5 people in 2 separate bedrooms and mezzanine. There is a big open fire place and the decoration has vibrant colours.The House "Casa da Vinha" (PTJ002) with 2 bedrooms is perfect for 4 people. It provides a high standard of country living and comfort with traditional architecture and modern facilities.The House "Casa do Jar" (PTJ004) is the house with number 1 in the village S. Gregorio. This small but charming cottage has one bedroom with 2 traditional single beds and living room with single sofa bed.The House "Casa da Paderia" (PTJ003) is a smallest one from the village but with plenty of space to walk around. The cottage with stone flooring and white walls, well restored and decorated with clean style is pleasant for 2 people.

This villa has use of a shared pool and mountain view; it is also located in Rio de Moinhos, only 7km from Borba. It is set in a good location: there is a restaurant 3km away.

You will receive full details about your booking including directions to the property and a booking voucher that you need to hand over to the property manager when you receive the keys. The exact dimensions will vary from property to property but the agent has specified that bed sizes are as follows:

  • A single bed is typically 70cm to 85 cm wide and 180cm to 190cm deep.
  • A double bed is typically 140cm to 180cm wide and 180cm to 190cm deep.
  • A “grand lit” is a European double bed, suitable for couples, and can be smaller than the usual UK or American doubles. It is typically 130cm wide but in some instances may be wider; it is approximately 180cm to 190cm deep.

A bunk bed is two single beds, one on top of another. Some properties also have pull-out beds, sofa beds and/or bed chairs; in a few properties the bed can be low in a wooden frame on the floor. The beds often have terry cloth sheet mattress protectors to protect the mattresses; please use them with the bed linen.

Some properties may have a loft as a bedroom: this is usually an open room at the top of the house with sloping walls and mattresses on a low bed or on the floor itself. You need to climb a ladder to reach this room. Lofts are very popular with children but may not be suitable for adults or elderly guests.

If a property has an annexe then it will typically be a building attached to the main property or a small self-contained building. Annexes often have no central heating.

Please note that bedrooms in holiday rentals are usually not that large; you should refer to the floor plan to get a sense of size.
