Overview

Apartment Tara is registered (A.L. 21072) with Lagos Camra as meeting all standards required for a holiday rental. Apartment Tara is a second (top) floor apartment (lift available) located within the St James area of Praia da Luz, which is situated on the west side of the attractive resort of Praia da Luz, overlooking a quiet residential area and enjoying panoramic views of the bay. (There are special discounts available for long stays over the winter period, please contact us for details.)
The shops, restaurants and the wide sandy beach are only 5 minutes walk away. The children’s play area has a range of adventure equipment with safety flooring throughout. There are two large pools available, one for adults and one for children, both having ample terrace space for sun bathing with landscaped gardens around. Rental of Apt. TARA allows unlimited access to the pools for our guests. There is an excellent coffee shop selling a wide range of drinks and snacks adjacent to the pools. These are fenced and gated for safety and the security of use for the St James apartments. The St James apartments have ample parking space with a large car park to the rear of the apartments, a smaller one to the side and some roadside parking also.

Apartment Tara is air conditioned and has a separate kitchen with marble worktops and breakfast bar. It is equipped with a full oven and hob, built in dishwasher and washing machine, a fridge freezer and microwave. The large comfortable lounge/dining room has patio doors to a balcony furnished for outside dining. Satellite TV, IPTV, DVD, and CD are provided for entertainment. WiFi is also available. There is ample space for the use of a single sofa bed if needed, either in the bedroom or lounge area. There is a separate bathroom with a bath and shower over. The bedroom is furnished with a double bed, ample storage and hanging space is provided and the room also has patio doors to the balcony. Good views over the sea are a feature of this 2nd floor apartment. There is a lift to all floors. On arrival if you have any special requests after you have seen the apartment, such as extra towels, toilet rolls or even a change to style of bed make up (eg. extra sheet, double duvet) please ask our agent, Adrian Fox. These will be attended to at no extra cost. Adrian is a mine of information. He can arrange anything you might want to try - deep sea fishing, coastal flight trips (see the reference book under the coffee table) - just ask, but for these of course, there will be an extra cost.
Only a short walk from the many excellent bars and restaurants of Praia da Luz, Apartment Tara makes an ideal location for a holiday at any time of the year. Praia da Luz is also an excellent base from which to discover the rest of the beautiful Western Algarve and with the town of Lagos only about 10 minutes drive away as well, the choice of activities and places to visit and explore from this area is exceptional.

This was a great rental. Because the owners use this rental for visits, it is very well equipped. Great views and close to the main promenade and restaurants.

everything was easy to do. The apartment was clean and tidy ( although it would of been good to have a bit more toilet roll when first arriving, you dont expect to go and buy some on the first day !! ) The only other gripe would of been to have a top sheet on the bed under the duvet. Apartment Tara got plenty of sun on the balcony and had pleasent enough views. very comfortable and would request this appartment again. Very good.

Coments accepted. It is standard practice to have one new toilet roll in the bathroom for arrival, apartment notes will be changed to include "if extra toilet rolls are required they can be obtained from the agent when he shows you around". Same with the sheet issue, if you want a top sheet just ask. This (or extra duvets, or towels) or whatever, can be provided on request at no extra charge.

excellent property, all mod cons. The cleaning staff do a wonderful job - the place was spotless! Chris was very helpful and informative, gave us quite a few ideas as this was our first trip to Portugal. We are already thinking of booking our next holiday. Antonios is a must restaurant to visit, the fish is delicious. One teeny weeny thing that would have made this the holiday from heaven - a welcome tray! Possibly a couple of tea bags or sachets of coffee a little milk and bottle of water and wine would have been so welcome after a 10 hour drive!! Never the less a superb holiday - thanks!!

Everything fine but not told about shop and restaurant not being open. Problem with cases on day we were leaving, flight not till 7 in the evening rang chris to see were we could leave them he told us to take them to the office, the girls in the office did not know anything about this and would not let us leave them there so we then had to ring chris yet again and eventually he let us leave them in the apartment.

Sorry about the shop and restaurant. We didnt know they had closed. They were open in May when we were there and no-one said anything about an imminent closure. The restauarant is still closed (but negotiations are on-going about a new owner taking over), and the shop is now an excellent coffee and snack shop. There is a small family owned (Celeiros), and very reasonably priced supermarket 50 yards down the hill.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this comfortable and convenient apartment. In absence od Jazz lunch at the Forteleza would strongly reccommend Sunday lunch at Valentino's. We hope to be back next winter.M & K 25 Jan - 1 March 2008

Wonderful holiday, lovely apartment in a great position. So many beaches................so little time but Cabanhas Vehlas (through Burgau) great for swimming if a little dusty to get to!Great choice of restaurants especially the Atlantico in Luz, can recommend the Arroz de Marisco (fish stew).Planning already what we will do next time!T T July 2007

Please be aware that Cabanhas Vehlas is accepted as a "naturist " beach. (Although its a pretty beach and naturism isnt compulsory.)

We are retired from work, Tony worked for Bass, InterBrew, and Coors and Jackie worked for Marmite and in several consultant laboratories. This apartment is our holiday home. It is furnished with that in mind and is a comfortable place to enjoy a stay at Luz. It has everything you need for a short or long stay and has an excellent South facing balcony to enjoy that relaxing holiday drink.
