Apartment overview - owner's description
Apartamento Azul is a modern, extremely spacious and tastefully furnished apartment right in the heart of the lovely family resort of Praia da Luz. It has 2 bedrooms and can sleep up to 6 people plus cot.The double bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and dressing area and its own private sea facing balcony. The second bedroom is a huge twin bedded room with ample space for an additional 2 beds to be used if required for a larger family (2 folding beds supplied). There is a second, 'family' bathroom off the large entrance hall. The lounge/dining room is huge, light and airy and has balconies to front and rear aspects. the front balcony is sea facing and the rear overlooks the pool and has a BBQ and table and chairs.There is a sofa-bed which can be used to sleep 1 or 2 people instead of the folding beds if wished. The lounge also has TV and DVD, CD,radio,casette and a large dining table. The kitchen is modern and fully fitted with large fridge/freezer, washing machine etc.The main living/dining room and both bedrooms are fully air-conditioned.
New to Apartamento Azul for 2015 is wifi internet broadband and internet supplied UKTV channels through the TV-both included at additional charge of £30/week
The apartment has 3 private balconies, 2 sea facing and benefitting from the morning sun and the third overlooking the pool which gets the sun in the afternoon. All three are large enough to accommodate a table and chairs for dining or a couple of sun-beds (provided).
A BBQ is also provided for use on the balconies.
There is a stunning roof terrace shared by the eight apartments in the development. It has amazing views in all directions, including to the sea and cliffs over Luz Bay.
The pool is secluded and fully enclosed. It has a surrounding pool terrace and lights for evening use.
There is a large communal garage and within this Apartamento Azul has its own locked garage area with space for 2 cars.
Praia da Luz and area
Praia da Luz is a lovely family orientated resort towards the quieter Western end of the Algarve coast.The beach is long and sandy and backed by a beautiful palm tree lined promenade. It has numerous restaurants, bars and shops, but only one small nightclub on the sea front.
The larger town of Lagos is only a 10 minute drive away and this has a more cosmopolitan nightlife along with a lovely marina, loads more restaurants and shops and several sandy beaches.
The historic nautical town of Sagres and Cape St Vincent, the most south westerly point in Europe is a 15 minute drive. Close to these heading up the West coast are fabulous Atlantic beaches with large breakers ideal for surfing. Several of these beaches have their own surf school. 25 minutes in the other direction is the old capital of the Algarve Silves with its moorish castle and old cork factory converted into a museum and entertainment centre.
The Algarve is famous for its fabulous golf courses and the closest, Boavista, is only a 5 min drive.There are several more within a short drive
As Apartamento Azul is so close to all these amenities car hire is by no means essential although we would recommend it to allow exploration of the lovely Algarve coastline, mountains and towns.

Outside this apartment in Luz, AlgarveThis apartment is near the beach. It has a shared pool, a balcony, a barbecue, a garage and outside lighting. Car hire is not necessary as the apartment is less than a 15 minute walk to a large selection of shops, bars, restaurants; however parking is not available.
