Lagos is a mix of market town, historic seaport and popular beach resort. Lagos is one of the most ancient towns in the Algarve: a fishing harbour enclosed by crumbling walls, set on a beautiful wide bay. Lagos holidays offer the opportunity to get a real taste of Portuguese life in a fishing port with a vibrant atmosphere, a great deal of charm and a certain touch of sophistication. Holidays in Lagos tend to focus on the old town. Lagos was the former capital and has plenty of cultural and historical interest, traditional character and graceful architecture. Much of the old city wall has been restored. Walk around the narrow cobbled streets of the pedestrianised Old Town to see the pretty whitewashed houses, colourful flower-decked squares, museums and churches.
A great choice for beach lovers. There's a wide selection of beaches ranging from tiny sandy coves backed by cliffs, to the vast expanses of the spectacular Meia Praia. The coast here is a pretty mix of tiny coves, caves, grottoes and weird rock formations. Try the lovely cove at Praia do Pinhao and the outstandingly picturesque Praia de Dona (immediately below our Iberlagos Studio). The main Lagos beach is the expansive Meia Praia to the east (Across the swinging bridge from the Patio Apartment). Meia Praia is a long, wide well-equipped stretch of sand and shingle. Lagos offers many opportunities for windsurfing, sailing, canoeing and diving at both Meia Praia and Porto de Mos. Lagos is also a great base for golfers, with excellent courses Palmares, Boavista and Espiche only a few minutes dive away. Parque da Floresta, Penina, Morgado and Alamos are all less than half an hour drive.
Lagos offers a great selection of restaurants with fantastic seafood and fish served on outdoor terraces. Nightlife includes a good selection of cocktail bars and a few excellent nightclubs. The Marina is another focal point for bars and restaurants. There's also some excellent shopping with chic boutiques and plenty of crafts, including fine lace, copperware, jewellery and a monthly market. Why not take an excursion to the Barao de Sao Joao National Park, the Monchique Mountains, Cape St Vincent, Silves Castle or the town of Loule.

Stayed May 2014 - Family
We have stayed in a 2 bed / 2 bathroom apartment adjacent to this and were concerned that this would be too small for a grown up family with male and female offspring. Whilst the apartment is compact at about 65m2 there is no wasted space and the facilities are excellent. A mix up with the sleeping arrangements was swiftly sorted by Pedro the agent and a cleaner leaving Mum and Dad with the sofa bed. A bit of a centre roll together but big enough and we all slept well.
To be honest we didnt spend an awful lot of time in the flat and only cooked in twice but everything that you could want is provided and it was all spotless. Loads of entertainment equipment if you want it even a laptop. We couldnt figure out the TV but that was a bonus for me. The wi-fi speed was good. The only annoying thing was the predictable grumble about access to the single bathroom. Towels were plentifull and keeping the place clean was a dawdle with a good washing machine and drying frame plus vacuum etc.
Lagos is a fantastic place and this apartment complex is so central for everything. If you want to go further afield the car park in the basement is easy and big. Its also just a short walk to the bus station and another 5 minute walk to the train station.
The balcony is south east facing so you can breakfast out in the morning sun, watching the pool get its morning clean. That central area is as well maintained as the apartment.
The reason for this trip to Lagos was to do some research into buying a place of our own. If we could get something in this area as good as this we would be very happy. Meanwhile we would definately like to use this apartment again.

Great apartment - good sized balcony overlooking the pool and gets morning sunshine. Very well equipped throughout with instructions/info by email and in the apartment - added bonus to have good wifi. Great space for 2 adults - maybe be a bit too cozy if there were 4 adults. The pool is a good size and the same depth throughout - perhaps not so good for small children? Warm enough to swim in early May and pool area gets sun most of the day. The only very slight disadavantage is having to go out onto the quiet street to walk round the block into the pool area - though this only takes a few minutes.
The location is very good for Lagos old town, the Marina and the beach.

The apartment was very well equipped and comfortable, exceeding our expectations. It’ also very well positioned, 5 minutes walk to the town centre and 10-15 minutes’ walk to the beach. Property manager Pedro was very friendly and looked after us exceedingly well. Anyone considering a holiday in Lagos should seriously consider renting this apartment, we’ll certainly do so ourselves.

The apartment was well equipped and comfortable. It more than met our expectations and was excellent value for money. It was in a very convenient location close to the centre of Lagos. We were also well looked after by Pedro from Seewest.
We will certainly recommend it to friends and hope to come again ourselves.

A really crisp and clean property with comfortable and stylish furniture and accessories. Relaxing environment and easily accessible to all amenities. Within short distance to almost all you would want on a holiday. Beach, restaurants, shops and rail and bus transport. Nearby, wonderful rambling streets and interesting architecture both in new town and old town.
The apartment is suitable for all ages and abilities (lift to flat). Wonderful apartment for a holiday, relaxing on the balcony, good food stores nearby, plenty of interesting and varied restaurants in the vicinity and a friendly, safe neighbourhood,
