Villa with magnificent panoramic ocean and mountain views, only 10 minutes drive from city center.
Located only 10 mins. from the city centre in the outskirts of Funchal, our beautiful villa offers great views of the city, and is a even cool retreat from the summer heat downtown. You can enjoy all the benefits of the island and, at the end of the day, retreat to the relaxing, cosy and homely surroundings of our villa.
Enjoy your meals of freshly caught fish and fresh fruits and vegetables from the local market, with breathtaking views on the terrace any time of day. A wealth of local attractions and activities are at your fingertips when you stay in Funchal, and our villa will provide a central base for your island sightseeing.
The villa has 170 square metres of living area with an outdoor area of 1000 square metres including a beautiful garden and court yard with ample gated parking space off the street. The villa has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1 living room/dining room, 1 living room, kitchen and washing room. There is a wonderful terrace in front of the villa, which offers panoramic views over Funchal bay. The terrace extends to the east-facing side of the villa, where all 3 bedrooms are located, and is directly accessible from each. All bedrooms catch the morning sun for a great start to your day, and you will hear birds singing and the cockerel crowing, while taking in the amazing views over the garden, mountains and ocean. There is a miradouro, which also has beautiful views over Funchal bay and is the perfect spot for outdoor dining. The outdoor area has external lighting around the house, on the terraces, miradouro and court yard. There is one large flat screen TV with cable in the living room as well as 2 small TV’s in two of the bedrooms. We also offer our guests free WIFI.
We can offer cleaning services from our local housemaid, who can cater to any need you might have during your stay eg. kitchen or bathroom cleaning, dish washing, clothes washing etc. The cleaning service can be arranged continually depending on need and is paid in full locally to the housemaid as part of our effort to sustain employment in the local community.
We can also arrange for shopping (groceries) to be available on your arrival, which may be particularly useful for guests arriving late. This service is also paid locally to our housemaid.
Very pleasant villa with stunning views over Funchal.

This was our first visit to Madeira. The house was everything that we had anticipated, clean, in good repair, good neighbourhood, and with excellent parking. The location is ideal and very convenient for touring both Funchal and the rest of the island. The communications from the owner were excellent, informative and prompt, both before and during our stay.
What you see in the property photos is exactly as the house is, no unpleasant surprises.
Madeira is a little piece of heaven on earth, very beautiful and friendly people wherever you go. The landscape is so unmatched for variety that you forget that you are on a small island.
Whether enjoying a performance of the Madeira Mandolin Orchestra, dining at the São Jose Restaurant in Funchal where the staff and food are great, or just exploring the island, there are many good memories to be made.

This property was exactly as presented on the site and very much a home rather than a holiday let. Great terrace keeps you cool when its hot and dry when it rains. Comfortable and lots of space with a great kitchen (inc. dishwasher) marred slightly by the lack of a frying pan but other utensils to cover for this. Three TVs with the main one having a fantastic choice of channels and very good reception. Also high speed internet (wired only). The area was very non-tourist and the local people friendly. We had some trouble with the steep hill because of our underpowered hire car but we quickly got used to it. Bus passes the door if you dont have a car.

All four of us had a great stay in your villa- the view is stunning and the accommodation is well equipped to satisfy the needs of a large group. Plenty of linen and towels, more than enough room to move about, and a superb porch. The rooms a large- even the double and all have adequate storage space. I would recommend your villa to anyone looking for self catering accommodation, and wanting a more traditional residential experience as opposed to the ivory tower experience of hotel stays. We enjoyed your villa and appreciate all you did to make our stay enjoyable.
The house was superb - fully equipped with everything we needed. It was also spotlessly clean. The neighbourhood was quiet and provided a very central base for sightseeing on the island. The view from the patio was fabulous - we watched the cruise liners arriving each day, the sunsets were amazing and we could not have had a better view as we ate our breakfast!
There is a good supermarket in Sao Roque - not far away.
The owners were incredibly helpful and kind, giving us detailed directions to the house and checking that all was well on our holiday.
