Overview

This Stunning Penthouse apartment is quite unique in that it is set on 2 floors, the feature staircase leads up from the living room to a galleried landing.
It has 3 superb bedrooms with plenty of space for up to 7 or 8 plus cot.

The upper floor has its own seperate entrance if required so families with older children or couples sharing can be quite seperate if need be.
The upper floor is almost self contained but doesnt have any balconies.

The living room is the central point of the downstairs accommodation and all rooms lead from here, glazed double doors lead out to the very large front terrace, which is furnished with full-length sun beds and table and chairs and looks out towards the sea across the village.
The living room is a very large bright and airy room, comfortably furnished in leather and finished to a very high specification, it is equipped with every sound and vision accessory you could ask for on your holiday and has some huge stunning pictures which superbly complement the room.
These pictures are taken by the owner and are all around the apartment and are definately worthy of their own exhibition!

The master bedroom is a good size and has glazed doors which again give access to the front terrace.
There is a full bathroom just outside the bedroom.

The kitchen and dining room both of which are bright and sunny rooms are well equipped and lead onto the rear balcony which has views reaching to Monchique and across the lovely pool of the Tempomar, so always plenty to watch.

The 2nd floor accomodation consists of a large family room containing twin beds and a double bed settee and a small area with fridge and kettle built into the eaves for making that early morning cup of tea.
There is a second bathroom on this floor and a further really good-sized twin room.

This beautiful spacious penthouse is equal in size and qualities to many top class villas so do not be put off by the fact that it is an apartment.

There is no pool on site, however the owners have made arrangements with the local Hotel just up the road that visitors to the apartment can utilise the Hotel pool as long as they purchase their drinks etc while there.




The Penthouse is situated right in the heart of Picturesqe Burgau, one of the only working fishing villages left on the Algarve today.

Less than a minutes walk to the shops, restaurants and bars and just an easy 2-3 minute walk to the beautiful Blue Flag Beach with Lifequard in season.

Whilst small the village has 24 restaurants and bars catering for every taste and pocket including the famous Beach Bar. All of these are within a maximum of 5 minutes walk and most a lot less.

It also has the added advantage of 2 local swimming pools, so visitors who dont wish to use the beach can use the pool if they purchase their drinks and snacks as well.

Burgau also boasts a Newsageants, 2 supermarkets, 2 wine shops, 2 gift shops, Estate Agent, Property Management and its own cash machine. - The Sports centre just outside of the village has a swimming pool, football, squash and tennis courts all of which you can use, and also run a very good children’s activity programme.

Scuba Diving and Surfing schools are in the village and activities take place from the beach regularly.

Burgau is serviced by a good bus service and taxis, but we always recomend car hire for guests where possible and are happy to book them for you at the best prices available.
Burgau is situated just a couple of minutes from the national park conservation area so is surrounded by beautiful countryside with many interesting walks.

It is also ideally placed for those who may like a more active side to their holiday as just 10minutes drive from the magnificent town of Lagos with its beautiful marina and its historic sites.

The West Coast with miles of beautiful beaches is 30 mins away by car and the furthest point in Europe Cape St Vincente is even less.

Golfers are ideally situated in Burgau as there are more than 10 superb courses all within 30 mins drive.

Ideal for just a couple or for up to 8 sharing by using the bed settee in the large twin room (4 peoole in one room) plus cot. Unique in that the apartment is on 2 floors there is an exclusive seperate entrance upstairs adding to the privacy when more than one couple stays together. Beautiful panoramic views from both terraces on a clear day you can see to Monchique.)

Plenty of room for 6 people and 8 with the pull out sofa bed. Did not spend much time in the apartment as beach is so close, just 5 minutes walk. Everything you need in an apartment: comfortable beds and living areas, full size kitchen and dining room. Does not have a pool but if you ask nicely at Jimmys bar you can use the one there.
