Luxury home in Apúlia - Esposende with private swimming pool and private parking. Surrounded by well-maintained gardens where you can enjoy its relaxing atmosphere. Within walking distance of the local beach (2 minutes), local shops (10 minutes), where you can do most of your groceries, coffee shops, cake shops, local fish restaurants and within a reasonable driving distance (around 10 minutes by car) of bigger supermarkets. A good place for walking, cycling, and enjoy a mix between the countryside and the beach - it is surrounded by a pine forest and 50 meters from a lovely beach.

Our hosts couldn't have been more hospitable - after our flight was delayed so that we arrived at about 3.00 in the morning they were waiting for us at the airport. Not only that but the next day they took us back to the airport to pick up our rental car - they made what could have been a bad start to our holiday feel a lot better.
The villa is exactly as described - large pool, huge lounge area, upstairs bar and home cinema system (take some DVD's), big kitchen well stocked with utensils, cups, glasses, etc.
Bedrooms are very good - we ended up as the only couple there as one of our friends was ruched into hospital the day before we were due to leave - therefore we had a choice of three bedrooms.
Beach is within a very short walk. Restaurants are very close (one on the corner of the street, others 10 minute walk). Apulia town is a 20 minute walk with a couple of bars worth sitting at, a pastelaria that rivals any in a big city and a fishmongers with a wide variety of fish. Small fruit and veg market is also worth a look.
A must is a car even if it is to drive to the local Lidl or Continente supermarket. We did walk to Lidl but it is a round trip of about 1.5 hours.
Metro system from Povoa de Varzim to Porto is great - buy an Advante 24 hour tourist card for 7 Euros. Parking is free on the opposite side of the platform or on one of the side streets.
If you book this villa you will have a great holiday.
Had a lovely two week stay. The villa is well equipped and really felt like a home from home. There is a larder full of day to day things you may need and linen in abundance. We loved the pool and laid back feel of the place.
If you love fish there are plenty of choices from the restaurants within walking distance however if you want to go further afield a car is recommended. Esposande is a short drive away (around 10e in a taxi) Porto is a great place to visit with lots to see and do.
My Wife and I and our 2 daughters and son and his wife stayed in the villa for a week in July to celebrate my 70th Birthday. The villa was of a very high standard and extremely well equipped and clean. There was a welcome pack of bread, wine, ham etc which was very nice and there were a lot of nice touches, e.g. shower gel and general ingredients for cooking. The pool was lovely, although unfortunately we were a little unlucky with the weather on a couple of days. The local shops are very good but you do need a car to go to the main supermarket for a large shop. The restaurants are all within walking distance and we had some lovely meals out and the staff were very friendly. The beach is just a short walk from the villa which was very convenient. All in all we had a lovely holiday at Ofir Villa and would certainly recommend a stay there.
Ofir Villa was the perfect family holiday home. Everything that you could want from towels to shampoo and shower gel is provided. Our children loved the pool and the WIFI. Cannot praise Sandra, Jose, Marta and Diogo highly enough for their kindness and helpfulness. For future guests the hosts provided a lovely welcome pack (including wine, cheese, butter, ham) a very well stocked larder (pasta, rice, tea, coffee, sugar). As well as dishwasher tablets, washing powder; cleaning supplies. There are plenty of restaurants and a beautiful beach within walking distance, but a car is necessary. The house never got too hot ; the high walls around it made it very safe for children. We would be very happy to return . Our thanks once again to our lovely hosts. The Kinsella Family, Co. Villa offir is one of the best villas we have stayed in. It is beautifully furnished and very well equipped its light and airy it was like a home from home. It is in a very quiet area and is perfect for a quiet and relaxing holiday. I would recommend that you hire a car as the larger supermarkets are a bit further away and plus you can visit other places. The villa owners are brilliant they were very happy to help with any problems that we had and jose was there to meet us when we arrived and we were later than we should have been and he still drove us around to show us the local area. You couldn't get a nicer couple as we also meet sandra his wife. We would definitely go back and holiday there again. The Fisher's and Poynters
