My wife, myself, our kids and grandkids, and friends had a great time here. The location of the house was excellent. Lidia, the owner, and her husband, Jan, were brilliant. We cannot praise them highly enough for their helpfulness, hospitality, and friendliness.
Despite the fact we experienced the worst floods in Poland in living memory, in reality this added to the whole fun and enjoyment of the holiday.
The house is situated in a quiet valley. We were able to watch the deer from our kitchen window in the morning. The bird life was a constant source of conversation and the grandchildren loved the frogs in the pond.
For us with our various children and grandchildren the house had bags of space and plenty of bathrooms/toilets.
For those with a liking for chess there is a giant chess-set on the first floor.
The house is also ideally situated for getting into Krakow as well as Zakopane. As a first experience of Poland and of Krakow we came away with very happy memories of the time spent at the house but also of the hospitality of the Polish people.
We highly recommend this property.

My family and I stayed at this property in July 2009 and we loved it! It is a very clean, large, well maintained and well equipped home. It certainly stood apart from some of the other accommodations we experienced in Poland. Access to the villa requires navigating some pretty narrow country roads but that only adds to the charm of the place. The home is situated 20 - 30 minutes outside of Krakow and it suited our family with young children perfectly. The rooms are large, the beds comfortable and there are multiple washrooms. There is even a washing machine to do laundry (although no dryer which can be a challenge in rainy weather!). There is a life size chess board built into the floor on the second level of the house that kept my 8 year old son occupied for hours. There is also a pond in front of the house and plenty of wildlife to enjoy.
The owner is wonderful. She welcomed us to the villa and even had a snack ready and waiting for us upon our arrival. She gave us a thorough tour and ensured we had everything we needed to be comfortable during our stay.
I would highly recommend Glogostan to anyone looking for a great oasis away from Krakows downtown hustle and bustle.
About the owner
Dr. Lidia Zakowska (1956), born and living in Krakow, Poland. Working as Ass. Professor at Cracow University of Technology, Dept. of Architecture. Married since 33 years to Jan, also civil engineer. We bought the old farm few years ago in Glogoczow (on the outskirts of city of Krakow) and it was our hobby to redesign, rebuilt the house and to convert the agricultural lanscape into the counrty garden with a big lake. We love this place, but we also like travelling, skiing and meeting other places and people. We hope that you will come to our house GLOGOSTAN to enjoy the magic atmosphere of this place, the green valley, fresh air, clean water and the great view.
