Check-in procedure
Check-in time is between 3,00 and 8,00 p.m. You will be met and taken to the booked accommodation, asked for a photo copy of your Id or passport, any extras and the Breakage deposit (in cash only in any currencies) € 300,00 – this is refunded on your departure day, less any breakages.

We strongly recommend contacting our land agents the day before or early morning of your arrival day, to let them know how you intend getting to the resort and approximate arrival time, they will in this occasion be able to advise of any local fiestas, roads closed etc...

Check-out time is between 07:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.
On departure the property has to be left tidy, with the kitchen clean and free from trash. Should these conditions not be respected, there will a deduction from the deposit - amount corresponding to the extra cleaning time.

Arrival and departure times can be arranged outside these times for this service a supplement of € 55,00 is applied.

Location
Il Postino apartment is situated in Castiglione di Ravello, along the slopes of Ravello, but only 2,5 Km. from Amalfi and 4 Km. from Ravello. Nearest grocery shop 1,6 Km., supermarket 2 Km., however SITA public buses stop just outside which is on the Ravello - Amalfi bus line (almost every 20 minutes).
From Amalfi there are SITA buses which connect all the Amalfi Coast towns, and also ferry boats to Capri Positano and Sorrento Coast.
One of the ancient trails connecting Ravello and Atrani passes alongside the building. It leads down through lemon groves on to the famous Maddalena church of Atrani.
For the more enthusiastic walkers, steps lead all the way up to Ravello too!

If you are fond of archaeology, Pompeii, Herculaneum and Paestum are easily within reach, and, of course, Naples and Salerno as well.

How to get there
There are several ways to get to Castiglione di Ravello/Amalfi Coast from Naples Capodichino Airport or Naples/Salerno Train station either by renting a car or by public transport.

The property is located 26 Km. (16 miles) West of Salerno (about 50 minutes drive) and 65 Km. (40 miles) South-East of Naples (about a 90 minute drive).

If choosing to arrive with public transport, it would depend on your arrival time at the airport/train station. Visit Amalfi Coast Transport to see which option (Bus or Ferry) will suit you best.

The easiest way to reach any destination on the Amalfi Coast from Naples airport or train station is to hire a taxi for a private transfer.
Arranging for a private transfer reduces the stress of arriving on the Amalfi Coast, and eliminates the expenses and difficulties of driving in the area.
