La Cala de Mijas - Cala Azul Contemporary 2 Bedroom Apartment

This 2 bed, 2 bath apartment is perfect for a family holiday or a golfing break in the sun.

No detail has been overlooked and the apartment has recently been renovated to a very high standard.

The large terrace has comfortable seating with a dining table and chairs. The kitchen is fully fitted and well equipped with everything that you might need and with open plan living opens to the living and dining area and opens up on to the terrace/balcony.

Both bathrooms have walk in showers one is ensuite and the other is beside the 2nd bedroom.

The communal pool and gardens are very well maintained and just a short stroll from the apartment.

Cala Azul is popular for those who want a relaxing holiday yet close enough to walk to all facilities. There is a Lidl supermarket beside the urbanization offering incredible value for money.

You don’t even need a car, transfers from Malaga airport are reasonable and the main bus stop is outside the urbanization. You can go to Fuengirola or Malaga on the frequent bus service and from Fuengirola there is a train every 30 mins to the airport and beyond into Malaga City. For those of you who enjoy a short stroll, the market is only 10 minutes away on Wednesday and Saturday and you can pick up all your fruit and veg straight from the farmers stalls.

The local restaurants offer the catch from the fishing boats which go out early morning and supply the "chiringuitos" along the beach. There are bars and restaurants in the commercial area beside the apartments, including one of the best known snack bars on the Costa del Sol "Snack Attack" which is open from 07.30 for breakfasts, there is Pura Asia for chinese and sushi and La Bodeguita for you wine connoisseurs.

The village of La Cala de Mijas has restaurants and bars to suit all tastes and budgets, it does not have a strip of high rise hotels and has still managed to retain the charm of the little fishing village it once was. You can meet the locals and enjoy their traditional "menu del dia" or workers lunch, 3 courses plus bread and wine for as little as €10. For those who want a little bit of glamour there is Olivias La Cala and for those who want some entertainment there is Legends with their caberat shows.

There are supermarkets and a bakery all within walking distance to the apartment and the beach is just a short walk away.
