Villa overview

The magnificent and roomy villa was constructed in 1798. The estate retains its beauty despite the refurbishment because only conventional materials were employed.

This home's exquisite attention to detail and the vast garden create a tranquil and welcoming environment.

This villa provides space for everyone, whether travelling with a big family or a few couples.

Everyone may withdraw and relax in quiet when they want, but you can also join together to create memories both inside and outside the villa.

There is enough room for your party to stay comfortably with six double bedrooms and one twin bedroom.

Additionally, the home features Wi-Fi, six opulent bathrooms, and heating and air conditioning.

You may spend your whole vacation here just admiring the views of the surrounding countryside or reading in the shadow of an old oak, thanks to the garden's 10,000 m2 of grass, olive, fruit, oak trees, dining areas, and pool surrounded by sun loungers.

The closest stores and restaurants are in San Casciano Dei Bagni, a little under 5 kilometres away and easily accessible by car.

Around the narrow, mediaeval alleyways of the town are several bakeries, eateries, and shops.

The town hall, an old church, and a palace from the fourteenth century are all exciting places to visit.

This is a lovely town to have so close by with architecture that dates back to the Etruscan and Roman eras and breathtaking views of the Val d'Orcia valley.

The hot baths in San Casciano Dei Bagni are the most well-known.

You may enjoy the warm therapeutic waters at both locations, whether you spend a day in luxury at Fonteverde Spa or take a dip in the Bagno Grande, a well-preserved historic bath close to the town.

There are other towns in the area that you can explore, like Radicofani, which is 20 km away and is well-known for its impressive stronghold.

A 20-kilometre drive away is Cittá della Pieve, where you can sample Umbrian and Tuscan cuisine and view Perugino's paintings.

In contrast, Pienza, a beautiful hilltop town, is 45 kilometres distant, and you might be sitting and enjoying Montepulciano red wine in less than an hour.

You could even travel 100 km (90 min) to Siena, which is definitely worth the trip.

Amidst the Val d’Orcia and Val di Chiana in the rolling hills of Tuscany, the villa is ideally situated for a relaxing break.

Here you can spend time exploring the countryside and the pretty hilltop villages surrounding the home.

With walking trails, cycle routes and horse riding available nearby, there are plenty of opportunities to get out into the fresh air and sunshine.

Before purchasing a bottle or two for dinner, you can also enjoy walking around one of the many vineyards and discovering how the region’s wine is produced.

Many local wineries offer tours, tastings and even lunch.

When you wish to pick up some groceries or pop out for a bite to eat, the closest town is under 5km away.

San Casciano Dei Bagni has charming shops and eateries and is a lovely place to spend the afternoon wandering around the historic streets and buildings.

Make sure to see the Church of St Anthony, the medieval walls and gates and of course the views!

Tourists know this town, so you will be able to try some authentic Tuscan cuisine, such as the Pici pasta, in little family-run restaurants.

Also in San Casciano Dei are the various thermal baths that the area is renowned for.

Why not visit Fonteverde spa, an award-winning spa complex with seven thermal pools?

The spa also offers many beauty treatments, massages, and places to eat so you can make a full day of it.

If you don’t fancy the spa, you can still experience the thermal baths; the ancient baths in town are still in use today, which is a great experience.

This area of Tuscany is filled with gorgeous hilltop towns where time seems to stand still, and many of these are within easy reach by car.

Cetona is one of these, 17km from the villa and recognised as one of Italy’s most beautiful towns.

The mountain on which the town is set is known for its archaeological finds, and evidence of human settlement over 40,000 years ago has been discovered here.

You can see some artefacts in the prehistory museum or visit the archaeological park.

The pretty 16th-century piazza is also a relaxing place to sit with a coffee.

Cittá della Pieve is 20km away, this unique brick-built town is on the border of Tuscany and Umbria, and many visits to see the paintings of the artist Perugino.

You can book on to tours to see these artworks plus more paintings and monuments.

If you don’t have time for this, visit the Oratory of Bianchi, where you can see a large Perugino painting.

The cathedral is also stunning.

If you stop for lunch, this is a great spot for trying local olive oil, truffles and cured meats.

Another brilliant place to visit for a day trip is Lago Bolsena which is 56km away from the villa and Europe’s largest volcanic lake.

Whether you wish to swim in the clear waters, unwind on the lake beaches, go fishing or even go on a boat trip, there are lots to do here.

Picture-perfect Montepulciano can be reached in under an hour.

The town is renowned for its famous vino Nobile red wine, with several wineries offering tours and tastings. So if you're a wine fan, there's no better place to be!

The incredible city of Siena is 100km from the villa and takes around 90 minutes to drive to.

Head out early to make the most of the day as there is plenty to keep you busy, though the city is small enough to walk around easily.

Climb the top of the 800-year-old Torre del Mangia for unrivalled panoramic views of the city and surrounding hills.

The Palazzo Publico and the Duomo are also unmissable when visiting Siena.
