Discover acres of private grounds and woodland, go fishing on the Lot River, or just find a quiet place for a cup of coffee in beautiful surroundings.
Within 6 km, you may get to Penne-d'Agenais, a charming hilltop village with the Basilique Notre-Dame de Peyragude, or drive a little farther to Villeneuve-sur-Lot, a bastide town with a twice-weekly covered market and sporadic summer night markets.
In the summer, go on a hike as far as Pujols, one of France's "Plus Beaux Villages," or spend time exploring the breathtaking surroundings on horseback while fishing or renting a boat.
Visit nearby wineries and vineyards, or take this chance to travel an hour or so to Cahors to experience some of France's best Malbec.
A visit to the bustling market in the old city of Agen is also essential, especially to sample the Armagnac-soaked native prunes, or you may go an hour north to discover Bergerac's wine history.
Along with the idyllic locations of Monflanquin, Monpazier, and Issigeac, the Dordogne's famous châteaux and villages also await, with Limeuil, Domme, and Beynac-et-Cazenac about an hour away as some of the numerous treasures of southwest France to explore during your stay at this charming château.
