Built on two levels, guests will be impressed upon walking into the large entry hall. While the villa has been recently restored, it retains many of the original features that make it so unique.

Rustic terracotta flooring features throughout, as well as charming beamed ceilings, arched ceilings and stone walls. Guests will find a spacious living/dining room where the family can get together and spend some quality time. There is also a spacious fitted kitchen with French doors that lead directly out to the beautiful gardens.

On the ground floor, guests will find a spacious bedroom with an en suite bathroom and direct access to the pretty gardens via French doors. Upstairs are two further double bedrooms, their en suite bathrooms, and a bedroom with twin beds that would be ideal for children.

There is also an independent bathroom. Each of the spacious bedrooms and bathrooms has been finished to a high standard, featuring high ceilings, unique furnishings and charming shutters.

Outside, stepping stones lead from the house to the sparkling blue pool. Grab a sun lounger and soak up the sun with a good book while the kids splash about in the pool or play in the garden!

There are also several chill-out terraces, including a fantastic dining area and a barbecue; guests can prepare and enjoy delicious alfresco meals together while the sun goes down.

The villa is located in one of the most desirable areas in the Costa Brava, just a short drive from the charming town of Palafrugell and fifteen minutes from the famous beaches of Calella de Palafrugell, Llafranc and Tamariu to name a few. The nearest shops and amenities are just a five-minute drive away, and the nearest airport is Girona-Costa Brava Airport (46 km).

Calella de Palafrugell and Llafranc, which are just a ten-minute drive from the villa, are bigger towns with lots of small beaches and calas to explore. The cobbled streets, shops and delicious restaurants along the coastline means you can go back and back again. Tamariu, a fifteen-minute drive, is the most charming small village, featuring quaint white little houses surrounding a calm cala with virtually no waves, so ideal for the little ones.

There are many other prestigious calas and beaches just a twenty-minute drive away, such as Sa Riera, Aiguafreda, Sa Tuna, Platja Fonda, Fornells and Aiguablava. Guests can snorkel to their hearts’ content, or hire a boat and explore some of the nearby coves. There are also plenty of lovely restaurants to choose from, where guests can enjoy delicious seafood and potter about the charming village shops.

That being said, Costa Brava is not just about the beaches! We strongly recommend visiting some of the inland towns which are just picture perfect: Peratallada, a fifteen-minute drive away, known for its beautiful old stone buildings, rutted stone streets and passageways, and Begur, a twenty-minute drive away. Famous for its cobbled streets, boutique shops and proximity to some of the prestigious calas, Begur is overflowing with Spanish charm. There are of course the ruins of the Castell de Begur which makes for an interesting hike. Begur is conveniently located within a slew of local Spanish towns and villages giving families and explorers plenty of things to do.

Further afield there are many other gems to be explored like Tossa del Mar, forty minutes away, and Cadaques, just over an hour away. Barcelona is located just over an hour away, and Girona just forty minutes by car. With plenty of interesting thing to do and places to see, guests will be spoilt for choice at Casa Avellana!
