The fantastic Roda Golf Resort - located on the Costa Cálida - is superbly situated for both golfing breaks & family holidays.

As well as all the on-site facilities the beaches of the Mar Menor are easily accessible and great for small children.

APARTMENT DESCRIPTION

The apartment is located on phase 2 of the resort and is on the first floor - with lift access for the less nimble.

The remodeled kitchen gives you much more usable space - plus new bed in the master bedroom.

The stylishly furnished apartment has full air conditioning, full central heating and electric security grills. In the lounge, there is a 40" flat screen TV with satellite system plus a DVD player and large selection of DVDs for your use. There is also a hi-fi with over 50 CDs to listen to.

The lounge leads onto a fantastic HUGE, south facing terrace, where you can relax in the sun or shade all day. A large teak table means you can dine al fresco and It is the ideal place at the end of the day to put your feet up, maybe read a good book, have a glass of wine (or two) and generally relax as the sun goes down

SLEEPS 4 COMFORTABLY: the master bedroom has a large king-size bed, en-suite bathroom and access to the private balcony overlooking the pool: bedroom 2 has twins beds with easy access to the separate shower room.

The apartment has a secure underground garage with easy wheelchair access straight to the apartment in the lift.

ITS OUR HOLIDAY HOME TOO so we've added lots of things that you wouldn't normally expect to find in a holiday let. We have even put in safety equipment including First Aid kit, Fire Blanket, Fire Extinguisher, Smoke detector, Carbon Monoxide Detector.

AIR CONDITIONING:
Sadly, due to severe abuse in the past, we have reluctantly had to install a meter linked to the air conditioning system only. (All other electricity and utility costs are covered by the rental charges).
We include a complimentary 15 units per day – so approximately 5-6 hours usage per day.
Extra usage is charged at 40 cents per unit and is payable on departure.

ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE:
The property is available for arrival between 17:00 and 22:00 hours and should be vacated by 12:00 hours on the day of departure (local time). Arrival/Departure outside these times must be agreed prior to booking.
Late check-in between 22:00/24:00 available - at an additional cost of €30.
We may be able to accept early check-in or late check-out (this incurs an additional charge) - but please ask before booking.

OCCUPANCY:
Maximum 4 guests - including infants - as restricted by our tourist license. VV-MU-606
There is also no space in bedrooms for additional beds or cots.

SMOKING:
Whilst the apartment is no smoking, you may smoke on the balcony.
Any evidence of smoking indoors will result in a deduction of £200 from your security bond to deep clean the apartment.

HOUSE RULES

1. Lead member of party must be 25 years of age or over
2. No single gender stag or hen groups
3. Persons under the age of 18 must be accompanied by parents/guardian

COSTA CALIDA AND THE MAR MENOR

Roda is not just for the golfer .....
Just 2 km from the unique natural setting of quiet, shallow waters of The Mar Menor, the largest natural seawater lagoon in Europe.

The setting of the Costa Calida and Mar Menor is truly incredible, with more than 253 Km of Mediterranean beach, around 320 days of sunshine per year enjoying annual average temperatures of around 21ºC and ideal for a relaxing holiday year round.

It is the ideal spot to enjoy an exclusive paradise with all the cultural and biological richness of the region of Murcia. It is also one of the most important spots in the world for sports lovers, offering various water sports including swimming, sailing, skuba diving and water skiing, as well as activities such as tennis, trekking or golf.

LOCAL RESORTS

LOS ALCAZARES
The nearest town of Los Alcázares, set on the Mar Menor, is 2 km away with a range of shops, bars & restaurants. With its promenade stretching for 8km, the local blue-flag beaches are fantastic having won the Q awards for excellence & safety. The waters of the Mar Menor are also renowned for their healing properties - and the temperature of the water can be amazing. The beaches are dotted with "chiringuitos" - bars selling a variety of Tapas dishes, refreshments & local beer!

LOS NAREJOS
The nearest beach at Los Narejos is 2 km from the resort. Gently shelving and really safe for kids. Apart from the height of Summer, the beach is usually quiet and is my personal favourite. The beach bars serve reasonably priced tapas, snacks and burgers. Start from here to walk the promenade all the way to the Yacht Club at the other end of Los Alcazares.

SANTIAGO DE LA RIBERA
The fishing village of Santiago de la Ribera is just 10 minutes drive away. It grew as a prime holiday destination for wealthy Murcians who built their houses along the coast. Santiago has a lovely promenade flanked by attractive palm trees. Today Santiago is still popular with the Spanish for their vacations but also attracts tourists from all over Europe and although it has a modern air, it has still maintained its ‘fishing village’ atmosphere. It has a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants.

Santiago de la Ribera boasts a popular water-sports centre and sailing club so with its superb safe beaches, sailing, water skiing, boat hire, wind surfing, fishing, cycling, a sports centre, and scuba diving ..... Its a great place to visit .....

LO PAGAN
Lo Pagan, near San Pedro del Pinatar, is a 20 minute drive and a visit is a must to take in the famous mud baths which has been renowned from early times for its healing powers. Get dirty ... by applying the mud all over the body and then dry out in the sun before washing off in the salt waters. The kids will love it!

RODA GOLF COURSE

The course is an excellent 18-hole, par 72 golf course designed by Dave Thomas, who is one of the most prestigious European golf designers. Probably best known for the Brabazon course at The Belfry, near Birmingham, where the Ryder Cup has been held on many occasions.

The landscape has been cleverly shaped into an interesting and undulating golf terrain, that provides an interesting and challenging test. It has 3 lakes, with the 7th green on an island in the middle of one of them.

Golfers will find Roda Golf Resort the perfect spot to put their skills into practice. With all the convenience of being able to enjoy this magnificent sport any time you wish, just a few steps from the apartment.

Note: To play at Roda Golf Resort you must hold a valid handicap certificate
Maximum handicap 26 for men, 34 for ladies.

There are usually discounts to be had on Green Fees at Roda Golf.

But you don't just have to play at Roda - there are a plethora of other courses within a 45 minute drive to chose from.

DO I NEED A CAR?

Once at the apartment car hire isn't essential although we do advise it.
However, Los Alcazares centre is a 2.5 km walk and it will make all the difference if you want to play at other courses or see the beautiful scenery around the Mar Menor.

Please also note that from January 2019 flight operations transferred from San Javier to Corvera Airport. It is a 35 minute journey to Corvera and 60 minutes to Alicante. It is approximately €100 in a taxi from Alicante and a taxi from Corvera will be €40-50.
