Located in Riviera del Sol a car is considered essential and to access the villa you do need to walk down steps.

The local resort town is La Cala de Mijas. La Cala does not have a strip of high rise hotels and has retained the charm of the little fishing village it once was. You can meet the locals and enjoy their traditional "menu del dia" or workers lunch, 3 courses plus bread and wine for as little as €10.

On a Wednesday and Saturday there is the market on the market ground, The local restaurants offer the catch of the day from the fishing boats which go out early morning and supply the "chiringuitos" along the beach.

In La Cala you have restaurants to suit all tastes from Tapas and Typical Spanish Cuisine, to Pizza, Chinese, Indian or even Fish and Chips. If you are looking for entertainment, you can enjoy an evening out at the glitzy Olivia`s or some live entertainment at Legends. One of the best known snack bars on the Costa del Sol "Snack Attack" is open from 07.30 for breakfast and snacks.
