Welcome to our rustic self-catering accommodation which comprises two floors of our refurbished stone house dating from around 1860.
The self-catering accommodation comprises two floors of our refurbished stone house dating from around 1860. The house provides the ideal getaway for families and groups relaxing and exploring northern Tuscany. We have two en suite double bedrooms. Both bedrooms are prepared with a double bed, but one bedroom can also be set up with two separate beds upon request prior to your arrival. Floor below containing open plan kitchen through to dining & combined small lounge area. The house is beautifully furnished throughout and retains many original features that include cotto floor tiles, chestnut beams, log burning stove and many sourced antique items.
The garden and plunge pool are for the private use of our guests and are not shared. We also have a pergola providing a shady space to eat, and a barbecue area. The local shepherd often grazes his sheep and goats close to the boundaries of the garden, a real taste of traditional Tuscan life.
The property is located in a mountainous region of Tuscany. During the high season, the village has parking restrictions. Parking is in a secure area some 50 meters from the house and should not pose any issues.
The owners live below the rental space and will be on call should you need any assistance.
Take in the wonderful views, there’s a relaxing patio area with pergola and plunge-pool where you can enjoy al fresco dining and a glass or two of the local vino.
We have done our best to retain the rustic charm of the property. We have been passionate about collecting antiques for years and have bought many of our possessions with us to Tuscany. We have enjoyed sourcing items from Portobello Road antique market in the UK and more locally in Lucca and Abruzzo antique markets.
I guess the property steers away from the standard rental in terms of décor. If you enjoy spending time in a holiday home with a twist we are sure you’ll love our house.
