Belinda

We stayed at this lovely little villa for a week at the start of March 2020.

Belinda was very quick to reply to any queries beforehand, and also replied to a text quickly when we were arriving.

The villa is exactly as described.  Well equipped kitchen, two large enough bedrooms (the double we used, and a twin that we didn't), and a large lounge with two sofas and a four-seater dining table.

Outside the patio is plenty big enough, with half a dozen sun loungers, as well as another four-seater outdoor table, parasol, and - of course - the excellent hot tub.

We spent most nights in the hot tub around midnight, where it is just lovely sitting back and staring at the stars.

The TV has pretty much all of the channels you would want, if you watch TV a lot on holiday.  For us it was more than enough, but it did mean you can keep tabs on the football if necessary!

Excellent value for money, perfect for a couple or two couples, or a family with two kids.

But ... a couple of minor quibbles that didn't affect our holiday at all, but it could affect someone else's ....

1.  The "not overlooked" aspect - The garden could be overlooked, but it would have to be deliberate.  And we didn't see another person next door or walking past while we were there.

2.  The housing complex that the villa is in (Capellania) looks like it was expected to be much busier when it was built.  There is a large business area that has a supermarket, one bar, and one takeaway/restaurant.  But it also has several abandoned and empty bars/restaurants, and an abandoned cinema.  So it gives the appearance of being very run down.  However, the one remaining bar is a lovely little local-run bar.  We didn't try the local takeaway.

3.  It's about 3km from Corralejo.  On holiday, we are happy to walk anywhere, and 3km certainly wouldn't be far for us.  However ... There is no pavement for the first 800m or so, so you have to walk along stony wastegroubd until you meet up with the pavement a little further north.  This is no problem going in the daylight, but would be treacherous walking back in the dark along unlit wasteground.  So you need to plan on taxis home.  We had a hire car, and ended up driving in and out of Corralejo for dinner.

4.  And this is a very minor gripe, but I hadn't trouble finding a comfortable chair.  I'm over 50 and have a sore back from time to time, and the sofas were a little hard.  The outdoor furniture is metal, and very upright.  But the chairs around the dining table were a little more comfortable!  But this is probably just me.

All in all, the gripes are very minor, and the villa was lovely.  The holiday was excellent, very relaxing (except for a walk up the nearby volcano), and we also had a couple of drives to the southern end of the island for a visit to the zoo and the beaches in Morro Jable (?).

Book it, you won't regret it.

Casa Colina

We had a lovely stay at Casa Colina. The villa is clean and well equipped with everything you could need for your stay. The pool was a nice size for our young son to play in and the hot tub was an added bonus. The villa is situated in a quiet area, ideal if like us you want some peace and quiet. However Corralejo centre, with it's beaches and bars, was only 5 minutes by bus or taxi. Communication with Belinda was easy with quick responses and the agents in Fuerteventura responded immediately when we required some advice. Thank you Belinda.
