“Girona is well worth a visit – walk around the old town on the walls for lovely views of the rooftops!
There’s a fast train to Barcelona (35 mins) so you can pop in for the day and the trains and undergrounds are airconditioned.
Have an evening drink at the village of Montseny overlooking the mountains (in the nearby National Park), after a paddle in the river nearby.
We also made a trip to the beach over the hills to Arenys de Mar (infact there are various beaches, all with bars or cafes directly on the sand.
Had a very nice midday meal at St. Esteve in Gesame, a meditarrean menu with arabian influences.”

We had a fantastic holiday. Ideal for visiting cities and beaches both to the north and south. Montseny National Park provided a welcome change of scenery, very stunning! The pool was great and the beds very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the evening meals outside.

Bedrooms and living space good. Kitchen and bathrooms adequate. Outside BBQ and al fresco dining very good. Lovely pool was big hit with whole family and table tennis provided more fun. Pleasant, quiet situation on edge of small town with good local shopping. Lovely rural views from balconies. Parking no problem.
Easy access to Motorway, for Barcelona/Girona and direct road to coast and national park. Excellent liaison with owners and friendly neighbours. All in all a very enjoyable holiday base.

Once again a fantastic holiday here at this amazing place. We loved it so much that we came back for a second visit this year and have received the same wonderfully high standards again. The house and gardens are kept immaculate and provide everything we could need for families of all ages. Caroline and Alex could not be more helpful and so once again a huge thank you to them and their team. See you next year!

We spent a heavenly week in Palau. The facilities could not have been better. It was super clean and well maintained with fab toys/books/videos for the kids. The rooms were quiet and comfortable with all the necessaries there. The pool was absolutely amazing, private and peaceful just as it is in the photos. Caroline and Alex were so kind and helpful on arrival. The area was beautiful too. Near to the river, a playground, the market. So much to do without going too far. Really has been a dream holiday. Have been recommending this place to everyone. Thanks guys!
