A lovely traditional Mallorcan farmhouse with thick stone walls. It is set amongst the steep hills close to Valldemossa. It is very well equipped and furnished, with some beautiful paintings and extensive Spanish book collections.
We were disappointed to find that after being described as 'tranquil' and 'quiet' it is very close to a very busy and incredibly noisy main road. If you are used to traffic then this shouldn't put you off, however, lying by the pool was not particularly relaxing and the lack of sun around the pool area meant we moved the sun loungers to a higher grassed terrace which was better. The pool itself is well designed and maintained.
We were hoping to walk the '800 metres' to the town but found that it was twice that distance and part of it along the main narrow road with no footpath. We decided not to chance it.
If you stay in and want to barbecue be aware that local regulations prohibit the use of the barbecue during the dry summer months. Don't be too disappointed because there are some wonderful restaurants a short drive away, including the bar/cafe in Valdemossa port which we visited twice for excellent seafood and friendly staff.
