A tranquil location at the end of a village overlooking vineyards, though only a short stroll to a main line train station where you can be whisked into Carcassonne for the cost of one Euro! Although close to the station we never heard the trains. The village has a small cafe/restaurant/bar adjoining a small general store where fresh bread and vegetables can be purchased along with a small selection of household items. The house has generously proportioned rooms and is well suited to family holidays with its three double bedrooms with ample storage space. Although we did not meet the owner, his Sister and her husband live next door and manage the property for him. Monique and Philippe are on hand to help and assist you in getting the maximum enjoyment out of your stay but will not intrude on your privacy. The countryside is beautiful and it is a pleasure to drive around the area. There is so much to offer the holiday maker. History in abundance with many Chateaus, Castles, churches, beautiful countryside in which to drive, walk, or cycle. A well equipped modern house with good size garden. Slide and swings for the children and a securely locked and alarmed pool for the exclusive use of the property. We spent many afternoons and early evenings reading by the pool in the peaceful setting. A truly relaxing and enjoyable time. This really is a little gem.
