Hola, somos a grupo of cinco españoles that estuvimos in casa of Bob y Megan, in Fajoles, Francia, los días 1 al 5 of agosto of 2016. The casa es estupénda, muy nueva y muy limpia. El lugar es ideal como centro de operaciones para visitar todos los pueblos medievales of the Dordogne and Lot valleys. Megan cocina muy well especialmente su bizcocho de limón. Bob es buen conversador y dispuesto en todo momento to ayudar con cualquier cosa. Guardamos an excelente recuerdo. Esther, Pilar, Lourdes, Ignacio y Pepe

English Translation
Hello, we are a group of five Spaniards that we were in the house of Bob and Megan, in Fajoles, France, from August 1 to 5, 2016. The house is stupendous, very new and very clean. The place is ideal as a center of operations to visit all the medieval villages of the Dordogne and Lot valleys. Megan cooks very well especially her lemon cake. Bob is a good talker and willing to help with anything at all times. We keep an excellent memory. Esther, Pilar, Lourdes, Ignacio and Pepe


Nicotiana

Très bon gîte situé dans un endroit très calme non loin de Souillac, Rocamadour, Gourdon et Sarlat. Nous étions 7 pour 8 places. Deux salles de bains. Gîte très spacieux. Une belle terrasse pour prendre les repas dehors. Il ne manquait rien à part les chaînes françaises sur la télévision mais nous ne l'avons pas beaucoup regardée. Accueil très chaleureux de M. McNeil le propriétaire britannique qui se débrouille en français mais nous parlions anglais. Plein de petits cadeaux en arrivant: vin de Bergerac, gâteau, lait beurre, thé, café... idéal pour passer une semaine dans la région. In English now. A very nice place close to Souillac, Rocamadour, Gourdon and Sarlat. We were 7. Four rooms and two bathrooms. Possibility to have lunch and dinner outside. Nothing was missing. Mr McNeil is very nice and gave us a few presents when we arrived in his "gîte": wine, cakes, coffee, milk and of course ... tea. A nice place to stay.

Just returned from a great two-week family holiday in Nicotiana. We were 10 in number from 13 to 81years. It’s in a beautiful location in the Dordogne and within reach of so many historical attractions. We got to visit caves, chateaux, local markets, lovely towns and villages, enjoyed a 16 kilometre canoe run down the Dordogne, and great walks and cycle runs.   We cooked in and ate out as the mood took us.
The accommodation has been well developed and the warm welcome extended to us by Bob and Megan could not have been better.  The 9 of us who arrived on the evening of the first day greatly appreciated the welcome pack and excellent meal provided by Megan. And her lemon drizzle cake is just superb – didn’t last long with our lot!  Bob and Megan were always on hand to offer advice and were most generous in allowing us to remain (free of charge) for two extra days necessitated by illness.
A great family holiday that will live long in our memories.

We were very well received by Robert in this old house he converted with care and furnished with taste. In fact, the interior looks a bit like an English cottage. It's a comfortable home, large, well appointed including all dining / kitchen which forms a nice living room. 
We were a family of 6 adults and 2 children and enjoyed the front terrace and the back garden where the kids played well. 
I would also like to acknowledge the generosity of Robert and his wife who have given us on our arrival a delicious cake, a nice loaf of bread, three bottles of wine and everything we needed for grandson lunch, namely, milk, butter, jam, tea, coffee. 
We had a very good stay in this property that we highly recommend

Great Cycling 🚵

Fantastic location for cycling. We were a party of 8 lads on a cycling holiday, and hired both property's had the time of our lives . The barns have everything you need eat in or alfresco just brilliant, Gourdon for a meal is also a must . Bob is very friendly and super helpful, thanks for the lovely meal and cake on arrival. Canoeing on the Dordogne is brilliant very safe . Coffee shops / bars they are all good . If you are looking for a location for cycling this is it , great roads almost no pot holes , drivers are pretty much all cyclists friendly , we visited some amazing places all by bike 🚴. Thanks again Bob 10 out of 10 .


Enjoyed 10 days here in September with three small dogs and had a lovely time. The welcome pack was fantastic as was the decision to have a meal upon arrival, simply divine and highly recommend. Bob and Megan made us feel most welcome, as they did our three dogs. Our hosts provided us with all the information about the area we should need and were good enough to share their experiences of moving to France, which we intend to do also. Relaxing location, but within easy drive to many great days out such as Domme and Sarlat. Thanks Bob and Megan for all your time during our stay, I am sure we will see you again

The barn is ideally positioned to visit many sites and we particularly enjoyed the Grottes de Cougnac and the caves at Lascaux and for the swimming in the lake at Grolejac and Quercyland.

“Wonderful”
 Reviewed August 18, 2015 for a stay in July 2015 
We stayed at this lovely home from home in early July and were so pleased we chose it. Every little detail has been carefully considered from the equipment in the kitchen to the super powerful hairdryer. There was a lovely welcome pack including wine, milk and home made preserve and the whole place was spotlessly clean. We even came 'home' on the second day to find a home baked cake awaiting us - delicious with the blueberry compote that came with it. Although there was only two of us, the lounge and kitchen diner could easily accommodate the 8 people that there is bed space for and without feeling overcrowded I would think. The barn has a shared garden, although we never used it as there is also a private decked area with table and chairs which is perfectly positioned to catch the evening sun with a cool beer after a day's sightseeing - it was still 28 degrees and only just losing the sun at 9 o'clock at night after all! The barn is positioned about 8 miles from Gourdon which has several reasonably large supermarkets and is centrally located for all the major tourist towns - I would highly recommend trips to the beautiful Domme, Rocamador and the market at Sarlat. St Circ la Popie is a little further away but the most beautiful place I have seen in a very long time - not for the infirm, as its on the side of a hill, but so worth the drive to get there if you are able bodied. I cannot recommend the barn enough as a perfect base for exploring the dordogne and they even allow your four legged friend (s) to join you subject to a small charge and some very reasonable rules. Well done Bob, it might have 'tuck-sum-duin' but it was well worth 


Thanks to Megan &amp; Bob for a lovely place to stay, so central to many places of interest. We enjoyed Domme,Rocamadour, Gourdon, canoeing onthe river Dordogne,Sarlat and Cahors and the absolutely beautiful St Cirq Lappopie. Nothing is too much trouble for Bob and between he and Megan have created a lovely home away from home with loads of little details - pinny in the kitchen - the welcome pack surprises - lovely soft towels and the best
hair-dryer in the world - no need for straighteners. So, a thoroughly enjoyable holiday and we will definitely be recommending the barn to friends and family.

We had a fantastic holiday here for 12 days. Our friendly hosts greeted us with a wonderful welcome 3 course meal on arrival,(pre booked) well worth it after a long drive. It was a clean and spacious property. The kitchen was extremely well stocked and the internet (wi fi) and Sky TV, Dvd kept our son and daughter very happy. It was such a peaceful setting to come back to at the end of each day. Lots to do in the local area picnics, swimming in local lakes, medieval villages and pre historic caves to explore. Plenty of places to eat out in Gourdon and Salrlat. Ideally located for both the Lot and Dordogne rivers. It was helpful to have a sat nav so we could explore all the country roads. Loved the property and the area. We would definitely stay here again.
