We had a wonderful stay at The Arches. Geoff and Jan were fantastic, friendly hosts. The apartment was clean, well equipped, with great views of the hills and sea. The pool was lovely too. Everything we needed for our baby daughter was provided. Thank you for a great week!

We had a really lovely holiday at The Arches. Jan and Geoff are great hosts - the details and directions they sent before our visit were excellent and we found our way without any problem; their greeting on our arrival was warm and friendly, and the superb welcome pack and ongoing hospitality were greatly appreciated! They were around to suggest places to visit, and to chat about what we had seen/done during the day, but never intrusive. They really have got the balance just right!
They have rebuilt/restored the property beautifully, with great attention to detail, and the result is a lovely light, spacious, airy apartment which is comfortable and well-equipped.We loved the arches, which give great character, and the handmade wooden window frames...the brilliant fly screens meant that we had no unwelcome flying insects inside whatsoever! 
The apartment is in a wonderful rural location convenient for the coast and exploring old towns and villages;it has amazing views - of the sea, hilltop village and mountains. We never tired of sitting outside in the lovely garden, admiring the scenery! The swimming pool is an added bonus!
We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday - thank you Jan and Geoff for making our stay so pleasurable.

stayed in th arches for the first time having previously stayed in casa de pietre, everything about the stay we found was perfect from the views to the apartment itself , Jeff and Jan were again the perfect hosts offering advice on the locality and events such as the yearly blessing of the grape harvest in nearby citta sant angelo, and we did get to sample the local wines which were fantastic, for a peaceful holiday with historical towns and wonderful beaches close by we would highly recommend

Recently returned from our second stay with Jan &amp; Geoff in there beautiful apartments near Pescara, classing ourselves as frequent visitors to Italy we can honestly say that our visits to casa di pietre are without doubt our favourite stays in Italy and that includes the gorgeous lakes and other fantastic regions as we get everything you could hope for. The beautiful ancient towns of Atri and citta sant angelo within easy reach and also the more modern beachside towns of Silvi and Pineto, The views from the apartments are breathtaking with the hills, vineyards and coastline all in view. The hosting is also superb where you are left to do your own thing and yet if you fancy it meet some wonderful guests for a glass or three of Geoffs local vino around the barbecue. All in all a first class break and we cant wait to return for a third time.

Apartment 1 - Casa di Pietre

The property has a very good location, short way to the beach, stores and old cities. The apartments (two) are in a very good condition, clean and nice, with enough space for a family or couples. You can barbeque and take a bath in the pool or just relax in the garden or in the front of the apartment. The view is fantastic with the Adriatic sea in the bakcgrounds and grapes and vinyards in front of you. Beatiful and quite place. You will never meet better hosts. We recommend staying at this place. We hope to come back.

The whole experience of casa di pietre was first class, Jan and Geoff were the perfect hosts with the delicious lasagne and the excellent local wine they provided on our late arrival to inviting us to a fabulous day grape picking with there neighbours. The apartment we stayed in was everything you could wish for with all the mod cons and the rustic charm you expect in Abruzzo, the views were breathtaking and with only a  10 minute drive to sandy beaches we cannot wait to return next year, this time for longer.

Jeff and Jan were amazing hosts, there was a great welcome pack in the apartment and a lasagne cooking in the oven, faultless. The apartment was spotless, spacious and uncluttered. We enjoyed their company and the stay was excellent value for money.

We stayed at Casa di Piedre for 12 nights in August (2 adults and  a 12 year old) and couldnt have found a lovelier location. Youd go a long way to find better hosts than Jan and Geoff who ensure that everything you need is at your disposal and are very generous and helpful. 
The apartment is clean, comfortable and well kitted out. The location is very rural and peaceful, but it is also within a short drive of Pescara and Citta SantAngelo so you get the best of both worlds in terms of shopping for groceries and eating out.
The beaches in the area are fantastic. We spent a lot of days at Pineto Beach where the waves were often quite frisky but the temperature was like bathwater!  We found all the beaches visited to be very clean and litter free. 
There is so much to see and the countryside is beautiful and unspoiled as are the towns and villages up in the hills. Wed recommend this accommodation and the area with confidence! Many thanks to Jan and Geoff for their kindness and hospitality!
