This property is not for the faint hearted; access is very difficult, via a steep and winding footpath, car parking is difficult and we were charged an extra 30€ per car per week for a permit. Donkeys were supplied to get luggage up and down the path on arrival and departure, but need to allow plenty of time if you have a plane to catch. The location however is stunning, though we were disappointed to find the property overlooked by our neighbours and we were gawped at when swimming by visitors to the ruined basilica on the other side. Villa was large and well-equipped, though the kitchen was lacking in work tops, food storage and some utensils. Some equipment in sub-kitchens was not working. Extra charge for electricity took us aback, as we were told it was included, and we hadn't used heating, air con, or other high usage devices. Also 120€ final cleaning bill - if this is compulsory it should be included in the initial charge. Would warn anyone to read the fine print VERY carefully and take extra cash with you for unexpected charges.

This large, clean and comfortable villa is perched on a cliff high above the beautiful town of Amalfi. It is surrounded by lemon groves and private gardens. The villa owners went well beyond the call of duty to make sure all twelve of us were always satisfied. Everyone - from age 4 to 64 - felt truly lucky to spend time in this magical place. You will NOT be disappointed!

The villa has a central area, as well as two other apartments that are available on request. The central area has the exclusive, and then if the guest are more we add the other apartments. There is a swimming pool of 4.5 meters by 9.50 meters which is for the exclusive use of the guests. The house is in perfect condition, recently restored, and on the ground floor there is the larger terrace of the house and the swimming pool. From here you enter the house into a large living room with separate open kitchen which has a washing machine and dishwasher. There is a TV. There is also one toilet on this floor. On the first level there are three bedrooms (one triple with mountain views and two double with sea views), and a large bathroom with bath tub. One of the bedrooms has a en suite bath. There are also two more smaller apartments which can be rented together within the main building: First, the apartment named La Rondine can accommodate 5 people and is situated on the ground floor with a living room with double fold out sofa bed, an equipped kitchen, and a balcony with sea view, bath. On the first floor there is a double bedroom and one single bedroom under a sloping ceiling, and a bathroom. Second, the apartment named Garden can accommodate 2+2 people and is composed of a living room (where is a sofa bed) kitchenette, a bathroom with shower, and a bedroom. This apartment has a private furnished garden with barbecue and sea view.
