The lovely villas Sema, Dunya, Gunes and Ates have been recently acquired by the Club Barbarossa's parent company (October 2010). A great deal of effort has already been spent on the properties to ensure that the guests’ wishes in the reviews were taken into account. Now the villas have plenty of sunbathing decks by the sea, phone in each room directly linking to a 24/7 reception, new upholstery and fixtures in the rooms. The villas have also been painted and the pools serviced to ensure a very comfortable stay for our guests. The villas were already great property but the availability of 24/7 of our staff and the free access to the Club facilities next door will definitively improve the guests’ perception of our villas. Halil Gunay is the manager of the Club Barbarossa Hotel and Villas and he will be at the properties almost every day of the year. Prof. Dr. Sevki Erdogan is the force behind the Club Barbarossa and he will be very happy to hear from you during and after your stay. We expect to see many return guests to our villas and we aim to provide a better setting each year our guests return.

Up side: fantastic views, great location, plenty of space. Caretaker : Extremely attentive, a pleasure to engage with. Down side : Internal fixtures, doors, locks and handles of a sub-standard specification instsllstion. However, we would recommend the property and will probably book again in the future.

It was as described. We were 2 families with 3 children between us and there was plenty of room for us all. We did experience a few teething problems such as air con leaking in one of the bedrooms throughout our stay. Mop bucket in situ and drip drip drip all night every night. Engineers called out twice but problem not resolved. DVD player broken and was replaced. Toaster tripped the lights, mentioned but not replaced. No matter - we just used the grill. Lovely villa, super pool but beds and pillows very uncomfortable. Great having beach platform, lovely access to the sea. Hotel Barbarossa next door extremely accomodating and very reasonable pricewise for a room for the day as we had to vacate the villa early am on our last day. Dolmus from top of "cardiac" hill cheap and reliable. We used the steps and windy path opposite Barbarossa entrance to get to the main road as the hill was so steep. Kas town was lovely, we ate out most nights and most restaurants reasonable but more expensive than Kalkan where we stayed last year. Shame no information pack in the villa but there is a guest book which we found helpful. We hired a boat for the day which was highly recommended. Joshcun and his wife worked really hard to maintain the villas and gardens and was very helpful, delivering water as required and bread every day. The welcome pack was super - thank you. We did our shopping at Migros and usually got a taxi back at night. All in all we had a lovely holiday and would recommend the villa. We have had better though in terms of value for money and those extra touches e.g mobile phone in villa and information pack, take-away menus etc.

We had a lovely relaxing holiday at Villa Gunes. The villa and pool are beautiful and well equipped, a lovely kitchen, beautiful sitting room, nice sitting area and good views. However, there are a few points that we were not so happy with. - There was a feeling that as the villas are for sale, there is not much interest in their upkeep. The swimming platform seems neglected - there is rubbish, a broken lamp lying on the rocks, broken parasols. The leaking airconditioning unit in one bedroom was reported but not fixed, so we had to sleep with a constant dripping noise for the second week. The shower cubicle in the ground floor bedroom had a lot of mould in it. The gas Bbq did not work well, burned everything even on the lowest setting. - Another point is that the villas are much closer together than they appear on the website, the patios and pools are definitely overlooked and we were even splashed on our patio when someone jumped into the pool above us. - The garden furniture seems extremely cheap for this type of villa, too much plastic. - In the bedrooms, apart from a small wardrobe, there is not much furniture, a chest of drawers would be useful, nowhere to put down anything like a hairbrush, a handbag, a book, only the tiny bedside cabinets or the floor.

Fantastic house and service! We had 11 lovely days at the villa and everything worked out perfect. With both our own pool and private platform by the sea just below the house this is one of the nicest properties in the area.

Villa Sema Review I recently had the pleasure of spending 12 nights at Villa Sema in KAS Turkey. The villa itself is large comfortable and as described on the website. One thing i would mention is that the directions to the property are not all that clear and also the villa is not well signposted once you are in the correct street (the villa is down circa 40 steps from the road which we were not told)- if you are going to arrive, make sure it is during the day. The villa is large, does have 5 big bedrooms although something i would like to point out is that the 5th bedroom is separate from the villa - it is under the pool - a separate annex. The villa itself is lovely, the pool is great, plenty of sunloungers, furniture etc. The gas BBQ was good, plenty of sitting outside enjoying the weather. There were only 2 or 3 english speaking channels on the TV, but who goes on holiday to watch TV? All in all, very nice, we had a great time, tried fishing in the sea at the end of the garden which was fun & snorkelling was a blast. Thank you, very nice!

Villa Ates is in an absolutely stunning location. The villa is beautiful and downstairs everything works, the kitchen could do with a few extra items like oven gloves and tea towels. However the water pressure for the bathrooms is very poor and one of the showers leaks, since we are just a couple this did not bother us too much. A family wishing to wash children in the bath may have to wait a long time for it to fill up. Also there is only a small part of the terrace that gets the sun for the majority of the day. We visited in spring time so this may change later in the year. All that said we would stay there again as any negatives pale in comparison to the views and location of the property.
