This was my second stay at this apartment, the last being in 2015 but this time I was accompanied by my girlfriend.
The apartment is on the top floor so you need to be able to cope with stairs but the location is ideal, just across the road from the promenade. Although the road outside is part of a circular one-way system, we never found the fairly low volume of traffic to be obtrusive.
The door lock remained stiff and much jiggling of the keys was needed.
Broadband was good although it occasionally dropped out for brief periods.
Particularly useful is the 4 way adaptor which has British 3 pin plugs - brilliant for charging your camera, tablet, phones etc.
Bed was comfortable.
Balcony gets sun in the morning but mostly shaded in the late afternoon although the plastic chairs are not particularly comfortable.
The main issues for us were unrelated to the apartment - we had a hire car and parking was a pain - there are free parking spaces around the corner in Calle El Pez but that can be hit or miss. About half a mile back up Calle Madrid, there are spaces in front of the Playa del Ingles hotel but otherwise, the side streets off Calle Gran Canaria but that's a fair trot away. The option is to park in the blue bays. These require about 2.5 Euros for 4 hours but don't bother because if you wait to get booked, you can cancel the ticket for 1 Euro 80 so factor in that amount a day and it is probably reasonable.
Beaches are nice and not crowded at all, in May (save the other end, down by the dunes) and the weather was fabulous and the sea warm.
Gran Canaria is not particularly cheap and there are small minimarkets dotted round. We ate at El Gaucho in the Atlantic shopping centre who give you a full bottle of liquer at the end to drink at your leisure, making it better value. We also tried one on the promenade with the Elvis impersonator - nice food but I think he was older than Elvis. I tried cheap at Casa Luis on the Calle Italia but best avoided.

An aptly named apartment. We have just returned from a terrific stay in this apartment. There is everything you need to make your stay comfortable and safe. The kitchen facilities are first class and sleeping accommodation and storage is more than  adequate. Kai and Paul were very prompt in responding to any questions and provide very prompt changeover of towels and bed linen. Some cushions for the outside seating would make the chairs more comfortable to sit on but this didn't stop us enjoying a relax on the balcony. The pool and garden area is very well maintained and made for a good number of afternoons relaxing by the pool. A most enjoyable stay.

No comfortable seating especially on the balcony.

Absolutely loved everything .  The apartment felt like home immediately.  Spotlessly clean.  Balcony views are amazing and has the sun from 8.30am to approx 5pm ( bear in mind we were there for Christmas and New Year).  Location is superb, within 20 min walk of everything or just 2 mins for local restaurants,bars,supermarkets etc.  If there were more than 4 people around the pool, then it was busy!!!!! Paul and Kai who look after the apartment are minds of local information, but leave you alone to enjoy.  Will have no hesitation in recommending the apartment or in fact Playa De Ingle. April 2015 - A well-located apartment one row back from the front-line promenade. Access to the beach is as easy as walking across the road and cutting through to the promenade. If you have a hire car, there is swift and direct access to the main road arteries via the Avenida D'Italia, round the corner. It is good value compared to another place I stayed, 2 years ago, in a similar position.
The apartment itself is a top floor apartment with a nice balcony. Very clean and the bed is comfortable.
The only demerits were the usual sticky front door lock (they do all seem to do it). a failure of the internet Wi-Fi connection (eventually fixed) and the parking.
The parking outside is the usual blue boxes. It costs E2:40 for 4 hours. If you overstay or don't pay, the local fines appear to be revocable at the machines for E1:80 but I'm not sure how successful that is and didn't try it. I parked in Calle El Pez, which is just round the corner, via the promenade, where free spaces are usually available from about 17:30 onwards, as the beachgoers leave. So if you're going out, make it for the day and the parking should sort itself. The island is very scenic and well worth a drive round.
Back to the apartment, it is well-located near the Tropical Shopping Centre which has a number of restaurants and in the evening, a 5 minute walk from the Kasbah Centre or a 20 minute walk from Yumbo Centre. However, in terms of entertainment, April offers very little bar what appears to be a greater number of people trying to get you into restaurants etc than there are tourists.
I can't comment on the pool etc as I never used them.

Excellent base for a fantastic holiday. Was there for a month and the best compliment would be to describe the apartment as being able to "live in" rather than just a holiday base - it`s got everything and more besides.
My particular favourite bits were the brill double length terrace and watching  the sun come up from the comfiest bed ever around 8am. 
Lovely views from balcony. Nice garden, pool.

Impressed with PDL and all Gran Canaria has to offer.


Couple of moans would be a few windy days but that can`t be helped. (No rain all feb)
 Also the apartments seem to be mainly residential, elderly people, German, Spanish. Very quiet, not a bad thing??

Another wonderful holiday at Nikki and Kevins apartment. We highly recommend the apartment to anyone looking at a holiday in Gran Canaria. Once again Paul and Kai were lovely and nothing is ever too much trouble.  Jax and Wend

We had a brilliant week and would recommend this apartment with no hesitation. The restaurants close by are good and you can venture a little further and find other places to eat as well. The beach is huge and great for a long walk to keep you fit and walk off the excesses!
Paul and Kai look after the apartment for the owners and do a fab job. It is comforting to know they are on hand.

Beautiful apartment spotlessly clean and very comfortable in a nice  peaceful area yet close to shopping centre, restaurants and taxi rank. 5 mins walk down steps to lovely quiet beach.  Communication was first class and were made to feel welcome on arrival. The apartment has everything you need - including a beautiful new fully equipped kitchen  and new bathroom with rain shower.  It felt very light and airy and the towels and bedlinen for the king size bed were of  good quality. Wifi connected straight away . Would thoroughly recommend this apartment and hope to return very soon. The gardens and pool were well looked after and the whole area was so nice - this was our first time here but will definitely return, hopefully to this particular property!
