This is a fabulous cottage. Everything you need for a brilliant holiday. Plenty of places to sit in the large garden. Colleen and Keith are lovely hosts.

Sheila and John were the perfect guests - eventually got here after Covid cancellations dating back in 2019. We would welcome them back anytime. They made the most of the countryside living , chilling out by the cottage and discovering the surrounding areas. Enjoy your next adventure!

The cottage is beautiful set in stunning countryside with fields of sunflowers everywhere. A car is definitely required. We visited Cognac, La Rochelle and there was a gorgeous Chateau a short drive from the cottage. Colleen and Keith were very helpful and kind and the cottage was equipped with everything we needed. We would recommend Sunflower Cottage to anyone looking for a relaxing French holiday.

We had a lovely time in the cottage. It is very old and lovely. Everything you need is provided. The english hosts are very friendly and very helpful. The pool is bigger than we had expected. The area is the middle of nowhere, but with a car you can get to the supermarkets, into St Jean d'Angely and Loulay to get anything you need. We had a day trip to La Rochelle, about an hour's drive, which was a great day out. It was about 20 mins on the bikes (provided) to Loulay, and there is a forest across the road but we ran out of time so didn't explore that. We spent a lot of time chilling in the garden with the kids in the pool. It really was a lovely week, very relaxing, very sunny, very quiet. Recommend for sure.

Lovely peaceful location and well placed for exploring the area. The gite was comfortable and well equipped both inside and out, and the owners were very friendly and helpful.

Upon arrival we were upgraded free of charge to Sunflower Cottage, the detached gîte at the end of the drive, so please note the review applies to this property. The owners Colleen and Keith, who live next door, could not have been more welcoming, friendly, chatty and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay in the gîte. It was well fitted-out, comfortable and roomy. The gardens were well kept but informalthere was loads of space to run around inand trees to shade under. Plenty of rustic charm in the setting of the gîte with lovely views and sunsets in as quiet a sleepy hamlet as you could wish for. The main town of Saint-Jean-dAngély is a mere 10 minutes away by car with E.Leclerc and Intermarché supermarkets convenient to keep you supplied. Would recommend this gîte as its very reasonably priced and will likely be going back again in the future.
