About

Hi, my name is Pietro, I'm 47 years old living in Palermo, a sunny city of Art in the beatiful island of Sicily (Italy). My wife Simona and I have bought a little but charming and spacious loft that we rent to people looking for a welcoming apartment for holidays or business in any period of the year. We take pride to fournish tastefully our loft; it has hardwood floors both in the living area and bedroom loft above, ceiling vaulted with traditional log beams and wood decking, a well equipped and modern kitchen, with also a clothes washer, and comfortable furniture like the wardrobe closets and built in drawers just off the bath. We are responsive to any of our renters needs and we do our best to make pleasant their stay in our apartment. We are waiting for you!

A well equipped and pleasant appartment in the La Kalsa. The area is a little unkempt and rough in places but the people are charming and there are many attractions on the doorstep. There is a supermarket nearby but the local shops are very friendly and accomodating to those speaking basic italian. The street food is great as are the pastries in local cafes. The appartment has everything you need to cook the wonderful local food. Support from the owners is available and very accomodating. Good value for money. Would definately recommmed to others.

A very nice apartment in the real Palermitan area of La Kalsa. More a real house than an apartment. Very well equipped (also the kitchen) and nicely furnished. Very clean and well kept. The surrounding area of La Kalsa may look a little bit rough but is full of charm and character, there are a couple of very nice trattorias around the corner and people are very friendly. The location is very central, close to the sea and harbour, all attractions within easy walking distance. Also very good value for money. I would defenitely go back to this place on my next visit.

We stayed in this wonderful flat from 7 to 14 August 2009. The flat is on the second floor. During our staying we met our neighbors only once. No one disturbed us. Near the flat there are two restarants with different kitchen and bar which has wonderful live music concerts. Next to the house there is a church and it is not far from embankment where you can go for evening walking. And it is not far away from center. Lets talk about flat itself. It has all modern convinience. Everything is new and well-done. Condition helps us very much as we had holidays during August which is the hottest month in Sicily. The kitchen has oven, coffemachine, toaster, microven and very nice yellow fridge, it is pleasure to cook there. Lots of wardrobes helps to keep all clothes. The flat has a balcony where you can sit during evening. The bathroom is big and also new. And of cause, we should say special thank to the owner of flat. we could call anytime for any question. They made our holidays comfortable, giving us everything that we need. If we have holidays in Sicily again, we are sure to stay only in this flat.

Finding the apartment was slightly tricky and I would highly recommend using the owners taxi service if you havent been to the apartment but once we arrived we felt at home straight away. Rossella showed us around the apartment itself and made us feel very welcome by suggesting various activities and restaurants to go to and was always at the end of a telephone if we needed anymore help. Living space is excellent for two people and air conditioning made it a very comfortable experience. Everything was in walking distance with the beach at Cefalu our personal favourite. Mezzanine floor bedroom was very nice and kitchen comes with everything youd need. Anyone staying in Palermo should choose this reasonably priced apartment above all others! Would I recommend this vacation rental to my best friend? Yes. from HOME AWAY Jean Nairon said... Jun 6, 2011 Great appartment, great location. Date of Stay May 24, 2011 Helpful votes:1/1. We enjoyed our 10 day day in Palermo. The appartment was quite nice and well equipped with everything we needed. The apt is only a few blocks from the seawall and a block from a fruits and veggie market and a couple seafood restaurants. The only issue we had with the appartment was meeting up for the keys. We got in to Palermo at 6pm and we were told they couldnt get us the keys till 8pm. We had to hang out in a nearby cafe with all our luggage for 2 hrs which was a little troublesome. The apartment is really beautiful, and it corresponded not only our expectations but we were excited! It really is all there, what you need. The furniture is very high quality and comfortable. We had the feeling to be right at home, because every piece of furniture has a personal touch. The apartment is completely safe, the house is newly renovated. The situation in the old town is ideal. The car we had on the street outside the house in safe and free parking. (We had the car only because we still had other accommodations in Sicily. For a visit to Palermo you need not have a car!) The side street is quiet at night you can hear almost nothing. We can recommend the apartment absolutely! And we thank you again for the very attentive and helpful support by Donatella! The apartment is very charming, clean, and cozy. The area is quiet. The neighbors and local folk were very kind to us. It was lovely to wake up to the church bells next door and hear the children playing outside. The apartment is in a very convenient location. It was only a 15 minutes walk from the train and bus station so we easily visited other parts of Sicily. The shop owners and restaurant staff were incredibly nice - they helped us order off menus as we dont know much Italian. The supermarket was just around the corner. The apartment has everything vacationers need for cooking, clean bathroom, and cozy sleeping. There is a great stereo, TV and DVD player in the apartments so bring your CDs and DVDs along with you for entertainment! Mrs. Rosella and Pietro and his wife were so nice and helpful to us. They will arrange to pick you up at the airport if youd like.

My husband and I stayed in this beautiful apartment in Palermo for five nights, October 15th through 20th in 2008. The location is fantastic. One can easily walk to the train station after getting used to the location for a few hours. It is also within easy walking distance to Via Alloro and Sicily's best museum which unfortunately is under renovation at the time of our visit. Piazza Marina with a big supermarket is within walking range as well. There are numerous small grocery stores, restaurants, fruit and vegetable stands, wine bars in the neighborhood. It is a very up and coming neighborhood just like San Francisco SOMA was or New York SOHO was at one time. Dona, the beautiful receptionist picked us up at the train station.
She was delightful, helped us with orientation and made us feel very comfortable. We did not personally meet the owners Pietro and his wife but we spoke and wrote e-mails. They are indeed great people. The apartment is very tastefully furnished with a well equipped kitchen, washer, and really good, comfortable furniture. The best part is the simplicity in furnishing which makes the apartment cozy but spacious at the same time. There was ground coffee and one big bottle of water as a welcome package. Pietro is too humble in his advertisement. He does not mention that there is a good music system and one can bring CDs or MP3 disks and enjoy a great musical event with dinner. I can not say enough positive things about this beautiful and clean place. I will go back there without any hesitation and I will recommend it to everyone I know and love.
