The pool cover is very awkward to use, hopefully this has now been addressed as we spoke with Carlos about this. Also the electric steel shutters in one of the bathrooms was permanently closed so no actual daylight, again hopefully this has now also been addressed. Overall we were very happy with our stay and Carlos was very quick to respond to any queries.

Carlos welcomed us to the villa and provided a generous starter pack of food and drink. He responded quickly to any queries we raised by text. Everything at the villa was clean and in good working order except the pool lights but the pool was maintained during our stay. We booked the villa as a good base to stay with small children and found that the facilities were ideal and safe (locked pool screens, segregated shallow pool area, stairgates, travel cots, fenced play area etc). The views were exceptional and could be enjoyed from the well-heated pool, the hammocks, the eating areas or the balconies. We did not explore the region extensively due to the small children but the town of Obidos was beautiful and Sintra exceptional. The local beach was huge with soft sand and offered both surf conditions and safe shallow bathing. At the end of our stay Carlos returned and allowed us to stay longer than agreed before our transfer to the airport. The whole family enjoyed their week at the villa which provided a stunning base in which to relax and have fun.

This is a fabulous place to stay. I highly recommend Casa do Lago to every of my friends. After visiting Casa do Lago, although the property rental prices can be considered expensive, I must say that it is an excellent value for money, maybe the best that I have ever found. To keep a gaggle of kids busy and happy is not a problem in this villa and for adults it is just a magnificent place to stay. The region around is full of interest: one unspoilt gem of Portugal

We recently stopped for a weekend, at this stunning villa Casa Lago, and we was absolutely amaized! we spent most of the time in the heated pool, enjoying the spectacular views over Obidos lagoon. Sunbathing on the extensive and panoramic gardens and terraces, whilst looking out to the superb views was a complete bonus. It is amazing the choice of equipments that this villa offers. It is very well prepared to receive everybody and although we had no children in our group, the villa has everything to keep a gag of kids very happy. We had some barbecues on the picturesque terrace which we really enjoyed. The villa is clean and comfortable and for the owners nothing was too much trouble, they were really helpful. Ideal for a family holiday.. Just across the street, at the village of Foz de Arelho, you can enjoy a meal or a coffee at super restaurants and bars. We truly enjoyed ourselves and highly recommend this villa. We hope to go back soon, but this time not for less than a entire week..

I just say wow! What a fabulous place! The villa has everything you can dream to find in a property. It is very far from to be a villa for holiday rentals. It is an home dedicated to the relax!

Pure Luxury - Highly recommended The villa largely exceeded our expectations. What a fantastic property! My whole family, including 2 children and friends were completely amazed. I have never stayed in a so largely equipped holiday villa. Although the weather was not as great as expected, children never had a single dull moment and parents know that sometimes to achieve that, is not an easy task. We loved the region. It is far from the crowded touristic routes, but with so many to discover! I particularly mention: the beach at Sao Martinho do Porto, the Buddha Garden and the medieval Obidos. Will definitely return.

Words cannot describe just how beautiful the villa is. It is truly amazing. Million dollar views, great location. Just simply out of this world. If I am ever in Portugal again, I will definitively come back to this villa. Will recommend it to family and friends back in London.

This property is just stunning! Its quality is very far from any other in which I have stayed before. From our group, everybody, kids and adults, loved our stay very much. Now, although we do not use to repeat our trips to the same places, we will have to come back again.
