the 2 best thinga about this apartment were the wonderful view and the pool - something rare in this part of sardinia.  The apartment complex was empty apart from ourselves and an occasional Italian family for a few nights we had the pool to ourselves virtually all the time. The apartment was clean and furnished with most basic items, however we had to ask for a xorkscrew and there was nothing like a brush or mop to keep the place clean. I had to call the office on arrival because we couldnt find the caretaker - he speaks no Endlish - we have some Italian but yet again had to phone the office some distance away to request bedding and towels which had been offered on the site ad. These did arrive but were very thin and basic - 2 sheets and pillow cases - no blanket or quilt etc was available which might be a problem early or late. There was a sign telling us not to use the oven because of problems with electricity and the air conditioning did not appear to be working but I have to say early September we didnt need it. The village is typically Sardinian very basic no restaurant here but Badesi has a good supermarket and I recomend Castelsardo for an evening out. The access is not for the fainthearted however, the road leading up is steep and you have to do a 90 degree turn at the top and get up an even steeper bit to the apartment - 1st gear and lots of revs!! You can find it on Google Earth its the only place in the village with apool and sits looking over the village itself. We had a great holiday we have visited the area before and, the pool and the views made up for any shortcomings in the apartment.
