We have lived in Spain for 9 years now and bought the land with an old house on it. Little by little we built the new house, buying materials and paying a builder as the money came in, I did all the labouring work and some of the less technical building work. We also run the English bookshop in the nearby village of Vejer De La Forntera, which we have had for 6 years.
