This traditional stone cottage was really spacious, and was much bigger than expected. Set in beautiful countryside we'd recommend  it to anyone looking for a peaceful location, close to activities and places of interest. The owners. Ian and Jo, made us feel very welcome and had even provided a delicious homemade tea for our arrival. Highly recommended!

A gorgeous property that really exceeded our expectations, it was a total home from home. The welcome hamper was so well stocked we didnt have to visit the supermarket until the day after we arrived, the garden was beautiful and the climbiTng frame and pool kept our young son entertained.  The area was excellent and we found somewhere different to go every day, La Rochelle is amust with its child friendly beach and gorgeous marina. Jo and Ian were very friendly and welcoming, they were on hand if you needed them but didnt invade our space. They had thought of all the small details in the house and we really didnt want for anything during our stay. The meal we had on arrival was gorgeous and a pleasant suprise. I really couldnt reccommend Jo and Ian and there gorgeous property enough, by far the best Gite we have ever stayed in.

We booked a week at the gite, expecting just a quiet week in beautiful countryside, with a small pool for the children to splash in.

We actually found a beautiful, spacious gite which was fully equipped with everything we needed. The pool was just what the children wanted, but we also found plenty going on in the surrounding area to keep us busy all week.

The owners were very welcoming and friendly (the Welcome Pack was the best stocked Ive ever seen!), but didnt intrude on our space at all.

In all, the gite was even nicer than we thought it was going to be - thanks for a lovely holiday!

WOW! What a fab place! We stayed for a week, and it just wasnt long enough... Theres loads to do in the area, and the gite was really well kitted out, and nicely decorated too. We loved the pool in the private garden, and the owners couldnt do enough to make us feel really welcome. We even bought two evening meals from them which were delicious - beats a restaurant any day. Weve already booked our return holiday next year.

Nicely presented in a quiet rural location. Owners were very friendly and helpful. As a couple on our own, we found the general area to be a little sparce on places to visit / things to do but for a quiet break, just relaxing the property is very good. Local super U is well stocked and there are larger shops in Bressuire - 15 minute drive away. We found the facilities in the Gite to be very good with a good selec tion of cutlery, crockery, cooking utensils etc.

The Gite is absolutely lovely, all the facilities are brilliant and very well maintained. Jo and Ian are fantastic hosts, looking after us very well.
