Property is very much as per the photo's - great contemporary finish to the place, and very spacious. Good views across open country, and not overlooked. There's a "proper" kitchen (unlike some villas) with plenty of equipment etc. Outdoor seating area is really good, with a brick-built BBQ. Everything works as it should - water / kitchen / TV / aircon etc. Pool is nice and clean, and is a good size. It's a single depth of about 4.5 ft - my 7 year old is a good swimmer so no problems, but less confident kids will need "wings" or can use one of the two supplied vests. As advertised, the immediate area is quiet. There are plenty of local Thai shops and cafes within a few minutes drive. There's a large Tesco Lotus around 10 minutes away, but the local shops and the nearby market are cheaper, better and much more fun. This isn't a tourist area - all that and some great beaches are about 20 mins away. Only one downside for me - there isn't really an area for sunbathing - forget the factor 50. In summary, this is a great choice if you're looking for a bit of luxury, in a relaxing location.

This was our third trip to Palm Villa, we live in Thailand and we love going back this villa because it's a place we can really unwind and relax. We love the view and the surroundings and it's very peaceful. Having a kitchen, a BBQ, and a decent sized living area make it a great place for our family to have a break. You do need a car here to get around, bring your own or hire one. But once you are here it is a great spot, about 10-15 minute drive from decent beaches and in the other direction the town/big grocery stores. Hua Hin is nearby for water parks and more entertainment and it's a lovely part of Thailand.

The positives: The property is in a beautiful quiet location along a small hotel / resort. the property is very remote so if you want to get out and about a car is a must, if not the staff can arrange taxi or car without issue for trips to the supermarket or into Hua Hin. This is "A Robinson Crusoe" place to be where life and the surroundings are nice and simple. Plenty of place to walk to get out and about if you want to enjoy the country side supermarket about 15 min away by car, Hua Hin about 30 min. The staff where friendly and helpful when approached, but communication in English can be a challenge. The Negatives: the main issue we had was that the pool was never cleaned or maintained, this came to a head two days from the end of our stay when the pool became a green pond that we felt was not safe to swim in due to the colour as well the insect community that had developed in the pool which was very disappointing end to an other wise great stay. General cleaning could be better with spider webs through out the house, fish blood and smells in the fridge which took several days for us to remove which made everything we put into the fridge a little fishy so to speak, also they have a iron, but broken so why have it ? Also if the information folder was better displayed would have helped with local attractions and thngs to do, but this was buried away only to be found when we checked the property on our exit Summary: In summary the place is a great property to go and stay at if you want some quiet time, we certainly would return, but they just need to look at the small things and ensure that the services fit the quality and style of the property.

Good afternoon Wayne, Apologies for my delay in responding but I wanted to contact the management company we use to maintain the villa to see what on earth happened. They insist that the villa and fridge were clean and as of last year we now pay them to clean daily regardless of whether guests are staying or not - this seems not to be the case, so we are following up and wanting to know why this is. As you point out, we have spent a lot of time, money and effort in getting this villa to where w want it as an owner. Sadly, we are not there to be on top of the smaller things and some things that we constantly ask to be done but never are.The pool is a major point for us and we are insisting, again, that regardless of guests in the villa or not, it must be cleaned every day. Sometimes they do not like to disturb guests, but we insist that they must ask and enter when convenient, and clean it every day to keep the water in tip top condition. Again, we apologies for the smaller things that may have impacted on your stay. We are aware of some of the issues and are dealing with them on a regular basis to make sure the villa stays how we left it and how we want guests to find it. Thank you

What a fantastic villa shame its a bit rough around the edges. First impression is great, beautiful topical garden surrounding a great size pool, about five foot deep all over. All external doors open up directly to the swimming pool area with amazing views over the plantation towards the mountains in the distance. What this place offers is peace and quiet great for relaxing by the pool. You will need transport while you stay here as Hua Hin is a good twenty to thirty minutes by car from the villa. There was dust in certain areas plus it would be so much better if there was some effort in cleaning the bath room sinks and shower cubical before guests arrive. Two things to consider are that the bedroom door just off the kitchen has a lock which there is no key for, so take care especially if you have small children who will lock it for you. Good tip while you are at the villa leave the bedroom patio door open, so you can still get in. The other thing is the second bedroom is not accessible via the rest of the house, but only by its own door. That said everything works well especially the washing machine....very handy. I would recommend this place 100% to anyone who wants to get away from it all, fantastic value!!!!

We are a family of five and recently enjoyed an 11 day stay at the Palm Villa. We would highly recommend it for a family with slightly older kids - ours are age 6, 12 and 14. We loved the layout of the villa and pool and spent quite a few days just content to chill out and enjoy relaxing at the villa. We liked the way the villa was decorated and furnished in a contemporary style. We found it to be comfortable and cool and had everything we needed. The beds are comfortable - which is saying a lot in Thailand! The villa has a good sized, modern kitchen, with fridge-freezer and equipment to make simple meals. The outdoor seating area was great, with a long table and a great big sofa/day bed that you could lie on, plus outside armchairs. There is a barbecue there in the garden and we enjoyed using that (you can get charcoal at a small shop on the way to Pranburi). There was also one sun lounger there during our stay. Our kids loved the pool, they spent hours and hours in it and it was a great size for them to play in. Families with young kids might want to know that there is no shallow end to the pool - it is the same depth throughout apart from the steps leading in, which was about shoulder depth on me (an average sized woman). It was too deep for our 6 year old to stand up in, but she is a very good swimmer, so it really was ideal for us because the kids were able to jump in all around the pool and get a decent swim across. We live in Thailand, so we took our car with us. I would say it is essential to have a vehicle to stay at Palm Villa - unless it is a short stay and you dont mind just being at the villa. The villa is in a wonderful peaceful setting and is an easy 10 minute drive to supermarkets (Pranburi has a Tesco Lotus and Makro) and to several beaches. It is also only a 20-25 minute drive to Hua Hin and the waterparks and shopping mall there. We had a great holiday and would highly recommend it.

Place had not been used for a while and this showed in appliances and dust. There was a problem with check in, half the house didnt have electricity, the water wasnt working and one air on didnt work. An hour to fix all this, but it was fixed! Water stopped working a few times and hard to find help but was quickly fixed when we did. Pool wasnt cleaned as often as we would have liked. Had to use the shower in the guest room as shower head sprayed everywhere but on you. even with the problems it was a great place for us. Just one clean in ten days would have been nice. Directions were hard to follow for self drive. having said all this, we had a great time, exactly what we wanted private pool, nice apartment, secluded location. Would stay again! Very kind towards late checkout, much appreciated!

Fantastic villa, good communication with the owner in the run up to the stay. Stunning views over the pineapple plantations out towards the mountains. Pool is lovely and a great size. Comfy outdoor seating area. Nicely furnished, kitchen is fairly well equipped. Garden nicely kept. Pool was maintained whist we were there. Very quiet and peaceful area which is exactly what we wanted with cool breezes, perfect for reading our books.

WOW! What an incredible Villa. If you keep your wits about you and look for the signs, it is very easy to find, and because it is located in the middle of a Pineapple plantation, is so peaceful. The Villa itself is pure luxury and the pool is incredible. Just right for a midnight swim after you return from Dinner in Hua Hin. If you open the doors and windows of the villa, you get a lovely breeze through the building, but later in the evening, there are fans in the ceiling and all rooms are air conditioned. Fully fitted kitchen should you feel the need to cook or wash clothes, and the beds are super comfortable. No sleepless nights! The living room has plenty of seating and a big screen TV with DVD player (and a couple of films) as well as an Ipod dock for playing your music. The booking process was easy and the communication from Villarenters and the Owners was very good. We had an absolutely wonderful, peaceful stay here and would like to thank the owners for letting us rent from them.

The villa is great and as seen in the photo. The place is very quiet between the pineapple field. The reception was helpful but could not talk a word of english and had always to call a translator friend, which was not so comfortable. Also, distances are much father than expected, Hua Hin at least 30 min with motorcycle and beach 15 min. Cleaning the house once a week like scheduled was not done, we had to remind them and the language matter made it difficult. Generally we had a great time there, its a very good and cheap remote place for people seeking calm and chill-out.
