We loved our stay at this house a stylish property with plenty of room and perfect location. Near enough to Umbertide for all shopping with privacy and peace back at the house (and no anxious drive over the infamous white roads of this area!). James was the perfect host, keen to ensure we had everything we needed. We hope to return!

We very much enjoined the house and surrounding! And the generous swimmimg pool!
Adriano and Barbara ( the housekeepers ) were very kind and helpfull with us. 
The location of the house is very convenient: we could easily reach towns as: Asissi, Perugia, Arezzo, Florence, Gubio.  
Our stay at Caimeli was plesant and I would happily go there again!

Our stay at the Caimeli villa in the summer of 2012 was one that exceeded our expectations by far. Greeted with some bottles of prosecco as a kind welcoming gift we found the house to be spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. Wandering down to the infinity pool made us very excited and happy to stay at this beautiful place for a whole week. The reservation and contact with the owner prior to departure went flawlessly and he was very open to any concerns and questions we had. For a group of people who want to celebrate a holiday with friends or family in a peaceful, tranquil area this is definitely a good choice. Restaurant and supermarkets are very close by and one reaches cities like Perugia, Arezzo and the beautiful lake of Trasimeno within 30 minutes by car. All in all we had a wonderful week at this property and it is definitely to be recommended!

We had a great stay at lovely guest house. There were a lot of
opportunities to have a great time in Umbertide. It was nice to not only have 
dinner at a local restaurant with the owner and his cute dog Thia but also to
visit some of the recommended restaurants around Umbertide. We enjoyed the
great view from the endless pool and also the tranquillity of the yoga retreat
house next to it. For one afternoon, we were able to join the host for a visit
in a vine dresser's house, were we had a nice stay because of the tasty food,
vines and welcoming local people also spending their time in the cosy kitchen.

The guest house is lovely furnished, so that we immediately felt at home.
While being located at a hill just outside from Umbertide, it is a great
starting point for visiting several spots for different activities, be it
riding a scooter lent from a nice german expat, enjoy the nicely rebuilt city
and churches in Assisi, pay a visit to the lively and beautiful city of
Perugia or simply explore the beautiful ambience of the landscape typical for
Umbria. We are very happy for having chosen this place for our honey moon
and receiving the owners thoughtful hospitality. Also we greatly enjoyed the nice
guests that stayed in the house, which we were able to meet in a nice and
welcoming atmosphere.

This was my third stay at Cai Meli. It is one of my favorite places on the planet. Beautiful and peaceful. There is nothing quite as perfect as an early morning cup of coffee watching the sunrise from the pool side Yoga studio or sipping a glass of red Umbrian wine on the terrace looking out on the Umbrian hills. I have stayed in the guesthouse with my family. I have also brought a retreat of 16 women from our book club. All the trips have been great. There are may beautiful towns to explore or just relax and read. A perfect place to unplug. Thanks James for a wonderful stay!!

My wife, two young boys and I spent a sunny and relaxing week at the self contained guest house. The kids loved the pool, which was always beautifully clean (tended daily by the caretaker) while we enjoyed the hot, Umbrian sun. Right from the moment I booked, James was at hand via email to answer all my questions. He gave plenty of great bits of local advice, like where to find the 'Porchetta van' for an amazing Sunday evening roadside roast pork sandwich, or how to buy freshly made, organic buffalo mozzarella (complete with tour of the farm). Early in the week, James arranged for the villa's chef to come to the house to teach us how to make different types of pasta. It was really fun for our boys as well as my wife and me, and just right for stocking the fridge with some good food for the rest of the holiday. Thanks for a lovely week

We spent our holiday in the main Villa and the place is really amazing. The cooking facilities and the outside lounge area are phenomenal. The villa is very spacious, cozy and fully equipped for a relaxing stay. The huge infinity swimming pool with it's beautiful view of the Umbrian hills and olive yards was definitely our favorite place to be. The pool was cleaned every day. We enjoyed fresh vegetables each day from the vegetable garden. The villa Caimeli is nearby a couple of very charming medieval towns definitely worth visiting. If you are looking for a peaceful and tranquil time away it is a perfect choice. James was very helpful and very prompt with his replies if we had any questions. Everything was well organised and ran smoothly. Thank you very much for our beautiful vacation and we will certainly come back.

To James, Sabine, Helen, and Norman Wow!!! Our time at your beautiful Umbrian home exceeded our expectations in every way. From the sweet taste of the freshly picked figs warmed by the sum to our amazing view of the Milky Way whlie lying on your pool deck. Our vacation in Italy was special in every way. We cannot thank you enough for all of your warm hosptality. The guest house is spacious, modern and historically charming. The view from our porch is amazing, creating unforgettable meal time memories. Our slice of paradise will be forever treasured inour family memories.
