We have just recently returned from having spent a week on honeymoon at Finca La Cuadra. I looked for somewhere secluded, where we could sit and sip some Rioja in the sun, whilst admiring a view. We certainly found that in Finca La Cuadra, although we hit a poor week weather wise. The Finca provided us with a comfortable place to rest our heads after days spent exploring the Andalusian towns and villages.
Joe, our host, couldnt have been any more helpful. Indeed, we were delayed on our inbound flight by more than four hours which meant we arrived in the small hours. Joe ensured the Finca was warm and well lit and showed us all the necessary features before we retired to bed. We were left to ourselves for the rest of the week, with an assurance that Joe was nearby if we needed anything.
The access road has seen better days. Recent rains have opened up channels which, if not negotiated with care in a normal hatchback, could leave you in a precarious position. As our week went on however, finding a good route through proved easier with more confidence and familiarity and I certainly wouldnt be put off by it.
All in all, this Finca is absolutely lovely and we will certainly be back in the future.

Finca La Cuadra

We liked everything about La Vista.The cottage was located in very beautiful place not far from Coin and supermarkets.About 30 minutes to Marbella,40 minutes to Malaga  and 50 minutes to Malagas airport by car. The rooms were tidy and well furnished.I would definitely recommend this accomodation to my friends .Many thanks to  Mr.Jose.He was very friendly.

A lovely little spot hidden away in the hills. The place is ideal for people looking for privacy and somewhere to just relax.
Its close a couple small towns with good restaurants. The Mirador on the outskirts of Alhaurin El Grande (10 mins away) is a must for the view alone!
The decor is rustic and ageing a little but adds to the charm, the place is well equiped and youll not be wanting for anything. The shower was fab!
There is a bar restaurant 5 minutes stroll away but is Anglofied, the English pub quiz and bingo on the Saturday night was a surprise!
Id go to this villa again, and again.
I left some beers in the fridge, so if youre quick....!

we loved the finca and hope to return... the views are lovely, its very well equipped, many places not too far away to visit, mijas was our favourite, a lovely quiet holiday with no-one to bother you, but the owners live nearby if you need them.

Our week spent at Finca la Cuadra was absolutely excellent. We had set out with the aim of finding a property which would offer seclusion, privacy and relaxation. This property offers all that in abundance.

The directions to the Villa are incredibly precise and accurate, making the initial journey pleasurable and allowing the opportunity to take in the wonderful scenery instead of fretting at hand written maps.

The Villa is approx 7 minutes down an unmade road. Might be worth considering the insurance on the car that covers tyres and windscreens!! The drive, however, is what provides the high level of seclusion once you reach the Villa. Long distance views through the valley are breathtaking.

Internally the Villa was spotless with one double and one twin room. The Bathroom didnt have a bath but that certainly didnt cause us any inconvenince. The lounge boasted numerous cds and DVDs should you encounter an odd inclement day and it also offered a basic sattelite tv service. Keep an eye on the soaps back home if it floats your boat.

The kitchen is well fitted with all the facilities you would require. Large enough fridge for provisions and Ice Box for the all important cooling drinks.

The villa stands in gardens that are of an excellent size, fenced and gated and with numerous fruit trees of a wide variety, the fruit from wish you are encouraged to pick and eat. The outdoor pool is not heated, we visited in October, but it is fair to say that the water temperature initially took your breath away, but fabulous once in. The privacy is excellent for sunbathing.

All in all we would recommend this to anyone. If there were any drawbacks, and I woould mention these only by way of managing expectations, the owners who live next door, house stray dogs and their barking was sometimes quite loud and intrusive and it is not practical to walk to any bars or facilities, not without good footwear and a pack up anyway.

It should be noted that neither of these points would detract us from revisiting, both can be tolerated becasue of all the outnumbering attributes, but we did wish that we had known.

Finally, the property is looked after by the owners, who live next door, but unless you seek them, you would never know, but theyre always there should you need anything, and it is to them that we offer our thanks for what was a truly memorable week and look forward to seeing them again, and strongly adise others seeking piece and quiet and a fabulous charaterful property, to do likewise.
