We regret every penny spent for this property. We were shocked and disappointed as no any hygiene standards applied to this property! It was disgustingly dirty everywhere (I wish I could post all pictures). Bugs, spiderwebs everywhere and horrible smell! It’s self catering- we knew that. We’ve done shopping on the way from airport, but we couldn’t cook in this kitchen. No cooking or dining equipment and whatever was there, honestly was impossible to use for hygiene reasons! I have all in pictures. The bathroom was even worse! Dirty and old. We couldn’t use it due to hygiene reasons! Owner was aware that we were a family with 3 kids 2to7 years old as he accepted booking request. Property was totally not ready for us! Kids were expected to sleep is another wing of the house. It’s not suitable for our family at all! Air conditioning was constantly down. We complained to the person who was looking after this place! They washed floors and kitchen sink after we’ve checked in! It didn’t make much difference! After four day air conditioning was still down! Someone was constantly upstairs for the first days of our stay and was using the pool as well! And the pool with opaque water! We felt offended and not safe! I don’t know what we’ve paid for! Please avoid this place

During our stay at the villa we had a horrible time. We were not welcomed well with wasps in front of the bedrooms door. The villa was really dirty and lots of dust. I would not recommend it to anyone. Very disappointed.

Me my family had excellent Holiday here at the Villa its a beautiful Villa with lovely Garden. I highly recommend it. My advice is contact owner get a pickup at the airport as we did, stop over at the supermarket get some grocery or amenities or hire a car at the airport to make it a easier enjoyable Holiday. Caretaker is there to help and was helpful but we niether spoke French or Berber so was difficult to communicate but otherwise is a lovely man and very helpful and is available 24/7

Great time at the villa shiham, They realy should updat e the pics, as it is far more beautiful. The villa is a small palace in a real quite area. The gardener is actually a chef de cuissine and provides excellent Moroccan meals every day and breakfast. We had a great time.

Hi, thought Id add a review as no one has yet. If youre expecting european standards of accomodation, or a village enviroment where you can interact with the locals, I would guess you may be dissappointed. If you want a base to explore the atlas mountains, with no traffic noise, a nice pool, and enough space to accomodate a large family very easily - Villa Zara is a good choice. Brahim, who looks after the place, is a lovely guy who is a phone call away and very accomodating. The main lounge is huge and has good air conditioning, a must in mid-summer. The bedrooms are all a good size, with fans to keep you cool. The kitchin is also a good size, though there is no oven, just a two ring gas stove. The village itself is pretty baron, mid-summer people are indoors during the day, and there are no shops. Theres quite a lot of rubbish lying around and the occasional dog for company ! The local town has a couple of places to eat and has some basic supplies, but for a supermarket youll need to travel into Marrakech, around 45 minutes away. I would strongly advise you to avoid this villa without the use of a hire car to get around in. If youre looking for a more tourist orientated enviroment Id suggest you head to Essaouira, where we spent a couple of nights. The sea breeze and cooler temperatures were a great relief, as was the chance to meet and interact with the locals. If you are going to arrive at Villa Zara in the dark, youll struggle to find the place - make sure you have the right number for Brahim and good directions. If I can help with directions or more details I will, if the site will provide my contact details youre free to email.

The villa is located about 40 an hour from Menara airport and about fifty minutes from the centre of Marrakech,We stayed at Villa for a week and really enjoyed the beautiful and tranquil surroundings of the villa. The house is set in the middle of the woods but prestigious complex and is very secluded. Our garden and pool were maintained every day and a wonderful houskeeper called Brahim looked after us,in fact he was fantastic. You should bring your own groceries and water. The weather ws hot and there is only on air-condition er and we knew that!!! May be the owner can add more Air-cons. I guess we were lucky because it did not rain. We did not bother with outside as the dirt road was nice for hiking and biking. We had time to explore the river and the lake. The DVD player and the TV worked and we did not experience any issues with the electronics. If you like total peace and quiet i can definately recommend here.

the property we stayed at was actually villa le menzah - effectively an upgrade - and the hospitality shown during our (young) familys stay was touching. the accommodation - while certainly not easy to find - was marvellous and we were very well looked after during our stay. we would certainly return.

My family and I enjoyed staying at Le Menzah . It was very exclusive and private. Especially for families. The service was excellent Brahim prepared our food and Rachid was there for us all the time. We recommend this vacation rental 1oo %. It was worth the price and the time.

We enjoyed our stay in this house very much, and were happy we did not have rented in Marrakech itself, as this was an oasis of tranquility. The family of the owner took very good care of us (which was also neccesary as the household only speaks arabic, but is also very friendly). A car is a must, but you will not find this property for the frst time on your own, so a deal with the owner to capture you at the airport is neccesary. We loved the swimmingpool, which was brand new. Our holiday was an adventure and it was great
