I came to renting Jacks Cottage by happy accident. I have a lot of experience in administration and management in various niche businesses. My husband Ben is an accomplished artist and has a lot of experience in the renovation of old houses. We are both keen gardeners and nature lovers. We were lucky enough to come across the cottage while on a river trip on an idyllic afternoon in August 1996 with some friends. It was nestled on the bank of the river, in need of some renovation. We spent the next year working on it and were able to have our first guests in August 1997. We are delighted to say that its been a great success, with many happy holiday makers and guests who are regular return visitors and in turn have become our firm friends.
