Where to start with the wonderful Villa Anastasia? Good news girls you get to have the annual argument with your partner as to where Villa Anastasia is. He will say I know where I'm going and you get to prove him wrong when he cant find it ! however the search was well worth while, as on arriving you will be pleasantly surprised, The Villa stands on a quiet lane with fantastic views over Souda Bay and across to Chania, the back drop of the white mountains makes this a fabulous location. The Villa itself gives you everything a couple would need for a perfect peaceful retreat, The interior although simple is cosy and welcoming, the pool was lovely and the view from the roof terrace truly awe inspiring, we found that the owners had left a couple of bikes in the pool room, and we had many an hour cycling around the vicinity.... a real joy . The proximity to local shops and Vamos was ideal, A car is a must as it gives you the opportunity to explore this wonderful part of Crete . A big thank you to John and Marie ( pool maintenance) who were very friendly and full of knowledge , also a thank you to Alan the villa cleaner but also a chef ............. checkout his menu in the welcome pack and you wont disappointed .......... we ordered an Indian for our final night and Alan delivered on time a meal that was truly restaurant standard. A visit to Kefalas ( 2 mins drive) is an absolute must , the work of Vangelis in the town is sight to behold . We could ramble on about the virtues of this wonderful villa, but we fear we might run out of space here ! Villa Anastasia is FANTASTIC we loved our stay and will most definitely be returning .

We had a lovely relaxing holiday. The villa is so nicely furnished with a lot of lovely little features. Pool is an excellent size and it has a large garden area. Loved the different areas around the villa where shade could be sought if need be. The only downside for us was the lack of air conditioning(which we knew about beforehand), the fans just blew hot air around, this was after trying to cool the place down in the evening with shutters open to let a breeze through but the breeze that was present during the day seemed to disappear in the evening!! We liked the location but some may think it a little remote, nearest beach 10 min drive down winding roads. There are a couple of villas within sight of this one but for us this was not a problem. We would recommend this villa to anyone wanting to totally relax and get away from it all.

Villa Anastasia was as described.  Set in beautiful countryside with scenic views.  The villa was clean and tidy and beds were comfortable.  TV and wifi. We feel the villa was good value for money.  The outside patio was wonderful for sitting in for breakfast but was definitely not private as neighbouring villas and the few people/traffic on the lane ( very friendly people from neighbouring areas) could clearly see the pool,seating area and actually inside the lounge if the doors were open.  That said, we didn't ask Jane before travel about the level of privacy so no complaints. Jane was most helpful and her friendly communications were most welcomed.  There was no bbq as stated in the ad ( despite searching).  Not sure what happened there.  One note, the pool is 1.5 m in depth with no shallow end, probably ideal for most adults but not for paddlers like me or young children. There was a lengthy power cut one day ( 8 til 2 pm) and we hadn't prior warning.  The person in charge of the villa said, when we phoned him, that he didn't think it would have effected Litsarda.  Maybe a suggestion for him to pass on this information to all tenants just in case it reaches the villa.   Villa location was good for travel to Rethymnon, Georgioupoli, Heraklion and back into Chania ( pronounced Hania). Georgioupoli is a sleepy picturesque town you shouldn't leave til the last day to visit!  Crete people are friendly, inclusive, outgoing and are good-humoured.  We loved our week in Villa Anastasia and would definitely recommend.

The property is comfortable and rustic. When we arrived the pool terrace seemed to be quite public, however we discovered that the property is so remote that you can go all day without seeing another soul, however during our stay it looks like they were letting the new building next door which will sadly take away the privacy.
Watching the sun rise and set from the roof terrace was quite spectacular. Any issues arising whilst we were there were dealt with in hours, great service.
Lovely drives out in the direction of Kalives and Georgiopoli and we went to Lake Varna 3 times. See John the English Butcher in Vamos for your meat and other English products.

This was our second holiday at this villa and once again we had a fabulous time. The accommodation is excellent and provides all the home comforts you could want in a typical Cretan style.
The welcome gifts were superb again. We particularly liked the bowl of cherries. 
We also welcomed the addition of a comfortable sofa in the living area.
The swimming pool had recently been newly tiled and was lovely. The people who came to clean it during our stay were very friendly and helpful, giving us tips on places to visit.
The whole area around the villa is magnificent. The views from the windows and the roof terrace are stunning. 
We explored the area all around and found the information folder very useful with details of routes to places of interest and times to get there.
Nearby Almirida, Kalives and Georgopolis were our particular favourites but we also enjoyed Chania, Frankocastelloand Souda Bay. All definately worth a visit.
Overall a fantastic holiday again with friendly correspondence from Jane, the owner.
Thank you very much. We wil definately be going again.

The property was set in a lovely location with a distant sea view to the front and mountains behind and to the side. The villa was clean and tidy and well equipped. The welcome pack in the fridge was very helpful. The only small criticism of the kitchen was the very small freezer compartment, but apart from that all was excellent. It was quite hot when we were there in July and we had a few problems with invading ants but nothing a spray or two did not take care of.
We thought the pool was excellent and we gave it plenty of use, along with a number of the beaches nearby and on the south coast.
Whilst the villa is in a lovely quiet area, there are some part finished houses adjacent and we did experience intermittent builder activities while we were there.This did not detract too much from our enjoyment as it was not all day every day.
All in all, we had an excellent time at Villa Anastasia and will consider returning in future.

Well maintained and was everything we anticipated. Dialogue with owners beforehand was excellent in its usefullness. Might be handy to have Vamos and Litsarda shown in Greek as well as English on the instructions we missed one signpost which cost us half an hour on arrival because Vamos was only written in Greek thereby missing the turning for the uninitiated Greek Road signs are lets say variable.

The property, location, pool and overall comfort and cleanliness all well exceeded our expectations. This was a great holiday, but should have been a week longer!
Must also add that your booking system is certainly the best I have come across...

A very well equipped villa in a quiet and peaceful setting with good views to the sea.  Our only disappointment was that due to it's position in the lea of the white mountains, it clouded over by lunch time each day, this was probably due to the lateness of our stay (October) though and no fault of the villa's position which I am sure is wonderful in the spring and summer.
The beds and pillows were very comfortable (unlike the usual  greek ones), there was a comfortable sofa and even a fireplace which we made good use of due to the cold evenings when we were there.  
A villa we would strongly recommend if you want to be away from the crowds.
