An excellent holiday. Miho, the owner/our host, was best, very informative and generous throughout. The villa is the most well equipped we’ve stayed in and is situated in a very quiet, beautiful location. Ideally situated to explore the local villages and Dubrovnik’s only a short distance on the ferry or even hire a small boat (discounted for miho’s guests). If you’re going to holiday in this area stay in this villa, excellent value. Many thanks Miho, great time.

Our host Miho was charming and went out of his way to make our stay a memorable one. From picking us up at the airport to giving us a very helpful guided tour around the immediate location showing us the supermarket, ATM, beaches, public carparks and local restaurants. He was always on hand to give us any further information over the course of the week. The villa is set on a steep hillside providing the most amazing views and stunning sunsets. The pool, gardens and house function brilliantly for a family group like ourselves who choose to barbeque in some nights and eat out others. The villa is extremely well equipped and in close proximity to Dubrovnik, Cavat and Lokrum island all of which are well worth a visit.

We had a wonderful family & friends holiday in the Villa - our hosts were fantastic and could not have done more to help us settle in with a gorgeous fruit basket, ice & provisions. The BBQ area is a gorgeous place to spend evenings watching the sunset & enjoying a cold beverage. Plenty of room for 2 families to share, but if travelling in mid Summer the upstairs (all bedrooms) does not have air conditioning so it is very warm. Butcher, baker & grocery store all within easy walking distance, as is the bus stop so no need for a car unless you are wanting to explore off the bus route. Thanks for a lovely holiday!!

We are just back from a week at Villa Maria which we thoroughly enjoyed but while we are keen to go back to Cavtat we would not go back to Villa Maria which is far too remote for us and some facilities are not as described. I would stress that the villa is extremely spacious, beautifully decorated and maintained and set in a lovely, quiet location (if you ignore the fact that it is close to the airport and on the flight path - we had lots of fun trying to identify incoming airlines and didn't find it bothersome at all). The description, however, of the facilities is misleading. For a start it says 4 bathrooms, 2 of which are en-suite. The villa has 2 bathrooms as shown in the pictures and no en-suites. It also says air conditioning throughout when in fact there is one unit in the living room and none elsewhere. Rather stupidly we left bedroom windows open at night to try and cool down and ended up covered in bites. I have looked into this since coming home and it seems that Cavtat, not just the villa, is a hotbed for Asian Tiger mosquitos. It was possible to live with these 2 inconveniences as they are not a dealbreaker, just an inconvenience but the location did it for us. We chose this villa based on the comment "just 10 minutes walk from Cavtat" as one of our holiday pleasures is walking down to town for drinks and dinner. It is over 2 miles from the port and main dining area. Firstly you have to negotiate a single lane, unlit track to get to the main road (the entrance to this "road" is so tight in the car I couldn't drive in) which probably takes about 5 minutes. Then you have to cross the main road which is extremely busy as it is the main coastal road running the length of Croatia and finally you are on the road to Cavtat which I wouldn't fancy walking as it has no pavement and is full of hairpin bends. i would suggest that a car is essential unless you are a habitual hiker. These things all came as a surprise to us so we weren't prepared but I would still rate the villa at 4/5. Iliya and Irena are wonderful hosts, very accomodating and helpful. They gave us a guided tour when we arrived and provided some essential provisions (no milk) and a huge fruit basket on arrival. I can't praise their attitude highly enough.

Me and my family have just returned from an absolutely amazing holiday at Villa Moretti. The location in Zaton bay is fantastic: beautiful views, nice and quiet but still not far away from the city of Dubrovnik. The supermarket is very close and there are a few good restaurants within walking distance. We were eight persons, so the villa with four bedrooms was perfect for our needs. The outdoor kitchen and dining place (with spa pool) was wonderful! The pool terrace was also amazing: nice sunbeds, own peace and quiet and even a sea view! The owners were also fantastic. They did not disturb, but they were there every time you needed. They gave advice about what to see and do and arranged transport service when needed. Perfect customer service! We stayed a week. Two days we visited Dubrovnik and one day we took a trip to Ston, Peljesac and Korcula. Fantastic views! All in all we were all very satisfied with our family holiday in Zaton and villa Dubrovnik. We really recommend it, especially if you prefer to stay in a place where you can relax in peace and quiet. Thank you, Irena and Pero - hope to see you again!

Our group of 8 people stayed at this stone villa for 7 days. The house is really amazing, exactly as it was described to us. It has a very cozy courtyard/garden, clean, great heated Spa pool and spacious rooms and is perfectly view on sea. .......behind is large pool with sun beds area. Sitting on the balcony in the warm morning sunshine eating breakfast and absorbing the spectacular view of the Zaton bay. If you arent so keen on cooking for yourself then there are any number of good restaurants within a few minutes walk. Owner of villa are very helpful and help us for daily trip to Montengero and Mljet Island. The city of Dubrovnik is only a 10 minutes drive away and is quite breathtaking. It is worth noting too that the Dubrovnik airport was possibly the easiest entry and exit point I have seen anywhere

We decided to get married in Dubrovnik and hired the whole of Villa Morettie for our family and a couple of friends. It was truly lovely, the help and support we received from the villa manager (Irena) was fantastic. The week began with a boat trip organised by Irena which was wonderful, the food on board was delicious and the sights around the islands off the coast was stunning. We had our wedding a couple of days later with the ceremony held in the Old Town and then back to the Villa for a drinks reception by the pool and a four course dinner held on the villas stunning upper terrace. This was all arranged by Irena and I can honestly say the food and service was impeccable. With the sun setting in the distance as we ate our meal it really was a beautiful venue. So many of our guests have praised the food and venue and we have been told countless times it was the best wedding they have ever been to! I could not recommend this villa highly enough, it was a great spot for a family holiday with excellent facilities and the support from Irena really made our week a wonderful experience! It is clean, comfortable, easily accessible for the Old Town and the views are just outstanding. Irena was an excellent support for the whole week, arranging taxis, restaurant bookings, and the wedding meal. I hope in the future to go back many times and our guests all felt the same way! Highly, highly recommended!

This was our first visit to Croatia and we thank our lucky stars we booked to stay at villa in Zaton bay -Dubrovnik. The hosts were very friendly, and helpful, they collected us from the airport, offered us lifts into Dubrovnik and booked tickets for our excursions. The villa are comfortable for 8 person and clean and our view of the bay from the Rose room balcony was super. There is an outdoor cooking area with Jacuzzi and a brick built BBQ, a seating area and an area for relaxation. Zaton is peaceful and picturesque, the sea is crystal clear, safe for swimming and the food in the local restaurant was excellent. Local transport runs on time both by bus and ferry boat and the prices are reasonable. There are plenty of excursions available if you like sight seeing and Dubrovnik Old City has a charm all of its own. Zaton is 7km from Dubrovnik, close enough to visit easily but far enough away to escape the tourism hussle and bussle. An ideal location with excellent hosts Irene & Pero, great rooms and super views made our holiday Perfect, we would definately visit again and would recommend Villa Morettie as a place to stay.
