I could write a book! The information and reviews available on the internet for this property are so insufficient to capture the beauty, privacy, complete convenience, charm of the surrounding village and people of this wonderful vacation destination! Our family was enchanted by everything at this Villa, in Batsi, and on the spectacular island of Andros. Our goal was to escape, relax and enjoy each other as well as another cultureand believe me we did just that. This was a very special 25th wedding anniversary celebration for our family and we were delighted in every aspect of our trip. Our four teenagers were equally delighted and had a terrific time. The beaches on Andros are magnificent and the clean, azure waters of the Aegean are healing and therapeutic. We heartily recommend this destination to anyone and we assure you that you will not be disappointed. Your agent, Ms. Anna Vrettou, is also kind and a big help. You might want to alert your guests to the nature of the approach, as it took some getting used to driving and we were a bit concerned about the safety of the drive. It was fine, but a bit daunting at first because we didnt realize, but we enjoyed everything once we got used to the driving!

Villa Elies - Andros Island, Greece - Near Athens

The house itself was great. Fantastic view and romantic sunsets. Everything was clean and functional.
We had a 2 year old along with us who had to be watched all the time because of the steep drops and steep stone steps. Bit scary.
Probably fine with older kids.
At the end of July or with small children a car is an absolute must because walking is not an option because of the heat and the distances.
The cats were a bit of a bother, especially the sick one with the asthmatic snore. But a least the cats attacked the snakes and kept them out of the house.

The photos of the villa just don't do it justice. The rooms were much bigger than we expected, especially the downstairs bedroom, and the place was well appointed. There were 7 of us and it was plenty of space for us all. The views are fantastic and the sunsets are amazing.

We elected not to feed the cats, who got the message after a day or two. We had a 5 year old cat lover in our party and they kept her occupied for hours on end.

We didn't hire a car and got about by walking down to the village each day and then getting  taxis back from wherever we were (ask for "Thleva" and the drivers will know where you want to go). We did this with a buggy and for the most part the roads and paths were accessable, although in parts they were very steep! It takes about 20 minutes to walk into Batsi, and the same to walk to the local beach.

We wanted our holiday to be a real getaway from it all, and that's exactly what we got. We went in September, at the end of the season, so there were no crowds anywhere. We had no problems while we were there. The locals were friendly and accomodating and we soon found the restaurants which served the best food (we loved the Dolphin).

notre séjour a été formidable, la maison est très bien organisée,la vue est très belle, il ne manque rien et tout est en parfait état.
Voiture obligatoire pour découvrir l'île et accéder aux plages et de préférence une jeep. L'île est magnifique, bref c'était de super vacances et nous reviendrons!!!

The property iself is beautifull and well decorated. It really is ideal for people who want to getaway from everything- quiet, peace and beautifull scenery garantueed! The only downside was the poor choice in quality restaurants the period we were there (beginning of may)

Certainly good with helpful service from the local agent Anna Vrettou.

An electrical fault in the dishwasher kept tripping the main supply.This was solved by unplugging the dishwasher. We didn't miss the dishwasher but we wasted time locating the fault.

Some of the bedding hadn't been washed properly and there was a large pile of spare bedding and towels left damp in the unused bedroom.

2 cats obviously considered the villa to be their home and expected to be fed. For 3 days we couldn't sit down without hungry cats crying around our feet. We eventually gave up and bought food for them. We should have been warned. If we had been cat-haters [which we aren't] this would have been a real problem.

The above minor points notwithstanding we had a great holiday. Thanks. MJT
