Cliff

We had a very relaxing two weeks at  the villa and throughly enjoyed our holiday and did not want to leave.  The villa was very well equipped and contained everything you could possibly need during your stay. It was also very well decorated throughout with lots of homely touches. We enjoyed many evening meals in the villa ( we even managed to catch a fish in the local bay which we barbequed) as well as having many lovely meals in near by restaurants.
The pool was very clean and relitavely quiet considering it was peak season. The views from the pool and the villa are simply breath taking and opening the doors in the morning was a real treat.
The information provided by cliff was extremly helpful and whilst he recommened a car we chose not to hire one as none of us really wanted to drive. We are all relatively fit and so carrying the shopping back from the super market ( which was very well stocked ) was not a problem for us and the dolmus ran frequently enabling us to visit all the surrounding areas. We also found some restaurants were willing to offer a free shuttle service.  If you are happy to drive however a car would be very useful  and we did find that the roads were quiet in contrast to our previous experience in other areas of Turkey. 
There were 4 adults and two children in our party and we would all recommend the villa and this area of Turkey.

Villa Adakani, Gumusluk, Bodrum Peninsula

The property was lovely and I am sure if you are from the UK then it would be perfect. The view was incredible, the pool was very nice (despite a few noisy kids) and the villa was fine, in fact pretty nice really. It was very clean and tidy.

The negatives were that the villa was very hard to access because there is a maze of very steep narrow roads leading to it. We arrived late at night and the gate was locked, I speak Turkish so i was able to get the code by calling the phone no on the booth. But the road that we were supposed to go down based on the directions from the owner was blocked off (they were digging it up) so we had difficulties finding the villa in the steep maze.

The other niggle is that all houses in Turkey have nets on the windows because of the mosquitos. This house does not so there is a mosquito problem unless you close all the windows after 6pm and dont open them again until the morning, which is fine if you dont mind air conditioning. Personally I dont like air conditioning so I went to Migros and bought some temporary netting for the window in the bedroom which solved the problem. Its not expensive for the owner to put netting on the windows and as someone that lives in Turkey and knows it very well I would recommend that he does so.

Despite these issues we had a very pleasant holiday so thanks very much to Cliff for allowing us to book at the last minute.

We were impressed with everything about the property. From first contact the owners were outstandingly helpful, with information provided of an excellent standard. Emails were always answered immediately in a pleasant and friendly manner. 
Over the years we have rented several properties in various parts of Europe, and this was the best..It was obvious that the owners really care about the quality of the holiday that their guests have. Fittings, decor and facilities were of a uniformly thoughtful and high standard.
Importantly for us, coming from the other side of the world, was to find that the property was exactly as described. Except that it was better! Would that this was always the case...........

The property is nice with all you need.If you do not rent a car you need to be pretty fit to handle the steps and get to the bus stop though buses to Gumusluk are frequent.
Also the shop is a good walk in the hot weather so you need to buy what you need when in Gumusluk as no quick popping to the shops.
Though lots of info and help from the owner who had adviced that a car would make life easier.
The Villa has nice views is clean with comfy beds,and has a well stocked kitchen.Pool area is clean with a sml bar that servres drinks and sandwiches that are not expensive.

The villa is very spacious and clean with the most amazing views of all the islands. We sat on the lower floor balcony where we had all our meals because the views are so stunning. We had peace and quiet and all the locals were very friendly. The pool is very stunning and also very clean and their is a small snack bar. The villa is very well equipped so we could listen to cds and also watch the tv. Their is penty of books and games to use if you fancy a day around the villa. Their are supermarkets nearby that sell fantastic fresh bread daily. If you want stunning view and total relaxation then this is definetly the place. It was so nice that my partner decided to stay another week and we had allready been their two weeks.

we had a great holiday and thoroughly enjoyed the stay at Villa Adakani the views were lovely from the balcony terrace the place was clean and well equiped and the shared pool during our stay was never over crowded and at times we were the only tennants enjoying the facility.

WE WOULD RECOMMEND THIS TO ANY OF OUR FRIENDS AS A QUIET AND RELAXING PLACE TO STAY WITH TRANSPORT AVAILABLE TO ALL AREAS OF THE BODRUM PENINSULA.
THE POOL ON THE SITE IS LOVELY WITH VIEWS FROM YOUR SUNBED OVER THE SEA TO THE ISLANDS AND ONLY OURSELVES USING THE POOL AND SUN TERRACE ON MANY OCCASIONS.
THE OTHER VILLA USERS ARE VERY FRIENDLY AND WE ENJOYED THEIR COMPANY.

Villa Adakani is a spacious well appointed villa in a stunning location. 

My family of 5 had a wonderful time, and the size and layout of the villa was such that we  could all have our 'own space' if needed. The views across the Aegean, and south down the rugged coast are 'to die for' .. with sun setss being particularly beautiful. The only thing I would say is that the development itself is not really suited to elderly visitors or those who are not particularly mobile. Travel around the Bodrum peninsular by Dolmus was cheap and reliable, but visitors with elderly relatives or children in pushchairs should seriously consider car hire for at least some of their stay. 

My family and I very much hope to revisit the villa again in the future.
