The Escape is exactly as described and we loved it. We have been to the area before having previously stayed in neighbouring Isla Plana which we also loved but La Azohia has the edge (in our opinion). We could not think of one thing that we required during our stay that was not available in the apt; the owners have thought of everything! From booking through to check in and check out we had a very smooth and positive experience with a steady flow of information from the owners. (The fly screens on the windows were very welcome). The apt’s terrace affords excellent views and is great for sunbathing at any stage of the day and perfect for watching the sunset. It’s about a five minute walk (downhill) to the neatest beach. We walked along the paseo most days to Isla Plana and then to the harbour in La Azohia which is in total a seven mile round trip, with various places to stop for refreshment en route. We especially enjoyed walking in the hills behind the apt and gathering wild thyme and rosemary to use for cooking with. There were a few other residents scattered around San Gines when we were there but it was an extremely peaceful location (which suited us). We will certainly be recommending The Escape to family and friends and look forward to revisiting in the near future. Thank you so much!

very pleasant stay. The apartment was ideally located and very well equipped. The area was very quiet and peaceful. However because of the time of year a lot of the bars and restaurants were closed which we should of expected as it is a less commercialized area. We had a car though, which is a must, so it didn't spoil the holiday too much.

This was our first stay in apartment and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The apartment was like a home from home and really comfortable. We loved the area and hope to go back again. We drove down and having our car was certainly an advantage.

Brilliant apartment even better than we expected having read reviews; Rob replied promptly to the one or two questions I emailed him. Welcome bottle of wine on arrival was a nice touch, it was spotlessly clean and great value for money. The only "negative" (it's a personal thing so obviously no reflection on the apartment) is that the break confirmed that we just don't like Spain very much, we normally holiday in Greece and just don't get the same "feel" in Spain. If we could uproot the apartment and relocate it in a small coastal village in Zakynthos (for example) we'd be booking it twice a year! Having said that if Spain is your thing then I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Escape very highly.

very nice place with even better seaview than in the pictures. Heating worked great and so did everything else. Good beds and quiet. Wonderful Wifi that even worked on the roof terraze.

On arrival the shutters to the lounge window and patio doors would not work,but the problem was overcome eventually.Also found that toilet had been used but not flushed-not a major issue but still not something you want to find.On day three my wife took it upon herself to squeegee excess water from the roof terrace left by the automatic watering system and the tubular metal handle split and cut her hand quite badly.Could not access internet-no response from organisation handling its security.Despite these niggling issues we loved the area and the apartment--- we just thought we were unlucky to have everything happen at once and that the apartment needs a bit of TLC.

Klein, maar goed uitgerust appartement met ruim dakterras. Alles werkte naar behoren. We hebben er een fijne vakantie gehad.

Possibly the most comfortable & best equipped holiday flat we've ever stayed in - good use of a small space, with e.g. the world's comfiest sofas, fully equipped kitchen, good quality TV, wonderful roof terrace, fabulous views, pleasantly quiet area - plus warm, dry, sunny weather throughout our December stay (though the owners can't claim the credit for that!)

We had a wonderful family stay at The Escape. We would highly recommend it, and will be coming back again. The apartment i in the most beautiful area, and is quiet and peaceful. The beach is a short walk away and perfect for families with young children. We had 16 nights in August - and it was very hot for the first few days until we got climatised! So please bear this in mind. We hired a car form Murcia and had an easy drive to our destinatio. We have all had the holiday we needed and would recommend the apartment to everyone. Thanks for letting us stay!
