We had a wonderful week in the Gite. It is a lovely little Gite in a quiet location surrounded by quiet roads and countryside to explore. The Gite was well stocked with everything that we needed for the week. There were plenty of the essentials  in the kitchen plates/pans/cutlery etc as well as towels in the bathroom. We recommend a visit if you want a quiet week or a base on which to explore the local area. We hope to return next year.

The cottage is very pretty and in an idyllic setting.  It is well equipped with everything we needed for a fortnight's stay.  A washing machine was a welcome addition as this enabled us to travel lighter.     The garden is very peaceful with a pool - much appreciated after day out  or on day's when we wanted to relax.  La Foye itself is set in beautiful rural surroundings.  The weather was exceptional enabling us to visit many lovely towns and villages nearby.   La Rochelle and Royan are within 1hr and 30 mins travel distance and are well worth a visit.    Phillip, the manager of the property was very helpful.    All in all a very enjoyable experience. Clean, cosy cottage with good facilities in quiet village.  Pool and fruit an added bonus.  Good centre for touring or just having a restful week.

The property suited our needs perfectly in every sense - it was very well equipped and fulfilled our need for a get away from it all holiday. It is described very accurately on the website and we felt we got exactly what was promised. 
There was an abundance of information provided on sightseeing which we also found very helpful.

A comfortable and cozy, yet spacious property, which met all our expectations and was enjoyed by our family. The garden was lovely and peaceful and the pool a great benefit. The gite was well equiped, there was nothing we did not have, there was even charcoal for the bbq. The area was was very rural, which meant we did a lot of driving, (the nearest shops were at Nere or Aulnay, about 2O mins drive), but the upside being that the property is situated in lovely quiet surroundings. We found plenty to do and see in the region and it was lovely to return to the gite after a busy day. We enjoyed making it our home for two weeks.

A good base for cycling in the forest and in the country. A GPS is very useful! Very little traffic. Deer to see in the forest. I saw a small mammal one evening which I have not identified yet. About the size of a skinny cat, but thinner rounder body with grey fur.

Cottage felt cold initially, a good reason to light the wood burner. Resorted to opening shutters fully to maximise solar gain. Flys liked the pool and the swallows enjoyed picking them off the top. They put on quite a show as they skimmed the surface. 

Skylight in the bedroom needed a blind, and the sound of the ventilation fan was a little intrusive at night. Cooker hob height was low, and gas burners could not be regulated very low.

Very attractive well equipped cottage.Set in peaceful countryside with several places of interest within easy travelling distance. Sunny secluded garden with everything supplied for outdoor eating. Diffficult to find anything negative to say.

This beautiful cottage offers a wonderfully secluded and relaxing retreat in the most picturesque local sorroundings.  The cottage itself is cleaned to a high standard, with lots of gadgets to make use of, therefore, ensuring a very cosy stay.  Must mention the electronic adjustable beds - a lovely unexpected touch!
The owner has thoughtful provided information regarding local attractions and nearby villages to while away the time, combined with a varied selection of garden games - great fun with a bottle of wine!
If you are looking for a break from a usually busy lifestyle you cannot get any better than this.  Even with it's remote location you feel secure knowing that the English speaking manager is just one call away (and is very friendly and helpful).   All in all, my husband and I highly recommend 'La Petite Vigne' and hope to visit again.
