About

My wife (Nora) and I (Jim) bought this property over 20 years ago, it was almost a ruin and needed a total renovation and plenty of TLC. Fortunately we are Visionaries and Transformational Trainers! We labored, designed and debated and gave birth to what you see before you today. We raised our two sets of twins in this home until we returned to the U.S. We chose this property because it is a magical mountainside initially the home of the Phoenicians which lived here over 2,500 hundred years ago. It has incredible views of the sea the mountains and amazing sunsets. Our property includes a variety of native trees, plants and local birds visiting the property and its skies are wood dove, mourning doves, seagulls, green parrots and the protected swift. Once you have met the local Spaniards and have eaten the local food you will understand why we chose to live here. Though we have returned to our beloved U.S. We continue to bring our family here which now includes our grandchildren! If you are looking for a place to relax, and slow life down, there is no better place than here. And.... you want to add some fun you can easily visit our local restaurants and bars along the coast at night, many place have dancing as well! Enjoy our home, your family and friends and Spain and create moments that are lovingly memorable. The Zarvos Family

We spent 2fabulous weeks here in august. There was 10 in total two families of 5. The place was better than advertised(since booking their page has been updated to include more pics but it’s still better in person)the outside kitchen was fantastic. We all loved the pool. Location was brilliant,we hired cars but walked into mezquitilla and algarrobo for meals out where there was plenty of choice. The hill up to the hse is tiring at the end of a night but even the youngest,6yr old, managed without complaints. Very few foreign tourists in the area and you only hear Spanish which to us was fantastic compared with some of the other areas on the costa. If u want a bit more hustle&bustle it’s only a short drive to nerja. At the bottom of the hill is the coast. There is no beach directly down from the villa but there r steps down to the sea and we spent many a happy hour snorkelling there. Lot and lots of fish. Beaches in the area are stone. I 100% recommend the villa. Owner, Rosa,Manolo and family are all lovely. My only fear in my 100% recommendation is that I’m afraid it will be booked up if we wanted to stay again!! Thank you for having us.

Villa La Sirena certainly has the wow factor. Beautiful location and Mediterranean views. Our family age range was between 13 and 68 years. The young teenagers hardly left the pool and we spent a lot of our time enjoying the barbecue and well equipped outside kitchen and dining area. We would agree with all the previous 5 star reviews on the villa's attractions. The manager Manolo was very welcoming and helpful. We would highly recommend villa La Sirena and hope to be back ourselves soon.

Everything was wonderful about the villa. We were a family party of 10 and our ages ranged from 3-77. There were so many spaces to be together to eat or sit and other places to seek out quiet or shade etc. It was great having different areas for each small family or couple. The air-conditioned bedrooms were much used to escape the heat whilst the pool gave everyone such fun. The views were superb and the roof terrace was a great place to lie on the sunbeds and look at the stars at night. The owner was really prompt and helpful in answering any queries, his instructions for getting to the villa were excellent. The cleaners/managers were really pleasant, helpful and unobtrusive. The only challenge was the road going up to the villa which the owner has no responsibility for. All in all a fabulous place to stay, a lovely holiday and we would all highly recommend La Sirena.

We had an excellent time in the Villa la Sirena, 12 family members of all ages celebrating a 50th Birthday. Facilities were excellent, slight problem with the electric tripping when catering for a large number but nothing we could not overcome. The pictures on the website do not do the property justice, we would thoroughly recommend.

We were a large group and Villa La Sirena suited us perfectly. Ensuite bathrooms for four out of the five rooms, comfortable beds, a variety of quiet places to spend reflective personal time and also areas for the whole group to gather. Good facilities, fabulous views, an amazing outside kitchen with a brilliant BBQ all set in beautiful gardens. The photos of this property do not do it justice and the fact that it is laid out over three levels provides a feeling of privacy to all. Good knees are essential for the stairs in the property which certainly keep you fit! The local area is quiet and is only a short drive from the beach at Torrox with it's lovely promenade and array of shops and restaurants and for those wishing to have a special meal out - we can recommend La Farola. The Monday market at Torrox is also worth a visit for everything from fruit and vegetables to ceramics and handbags! Enjoy!

The pictures on web site do not do the villa Justice! It was so much more than we expected!!!! The views, the privacy, the layout were fantastic. There were so many different spots to sit and enjoy coffee in the morning or drinks in the evening. I wish I could go back every year. The little town of Nerja nearby was so beautiful. I love the location of Villa La Sirena.

The photos really do not do justice to this fantastic villa. We were 5 adults and 5 children aged 7-15 and the quirky layout of separate buildings worked perfectly as there was plenty of communal space, yet everyone could find a peaceful corner if they wanted to. The outdoor space was wonderful and where we spent all our time given the weather - the kitchen and BBQ areas close to the pool were ideal. The villa is beautifully furnished with plenty of equipment and utensils and it was spotlessly clean when we arrived. Marie was on hand to show us around and was very quick to respond when we texted her with a couple of questions during our stay. The directions on how to get to the villa were very easy to follow and although the steep winding track up to the villa is a bit daunting on the first day (especially in a minibus!) we got used to it very quickly and given the views from the terrace, it was well worth it. We loved the area around the villa with the combination of sea, mountains and little towns and would not hesitate to return.

Website does not do it justiceExcellent facilities ideal for multi-generational family groups, the only proviso being not very suitable for small toddlers (one to two years of age), as rather a lot of steep steps. Directions need up-dating as road numbers seem to have changed

The propertys separate buildings made it ideal for the families within the family to function normally, whilst the large outdoor kitchen-barbeque-dining area adjacent to the pool was ideal for the big family meals. The buildings are easy to keep clean, but the "main" kitchen was short on large serving bowls and particularly bowls suitable to take up to the pool area / outdoor eating area. Table knives were in short supply at the outdoor kitchen. Rubbish and wildlife dont mix, and we missed a cat- and insect-proof bin to store the rubbish in for 24-30hrs so it did not bring ants into the house. It is a drag to have to empty the bins indoors to an unsafe bag outdoors and have to remove that each evening to the main bins 6-700m away by car. 12 people make a lot of rubbish, not least that all toiletpaper is in the bins too. The local contact person, Ann Turner made an outstanding effort to ensure that things went smoothly and she deserves much credit for her admirable efforts and counsel.
