We had a wonderful stay at this delightful villa. Rosa was a very kind host - with great welcome and couldnt do enough for us. Lovely welcome pack after a long journey. The villa is full of character and love and enabled us to have a great stay. A quiet spot away from the busy beaches but close enough to local village for shopping and within short distance to local beaches and Sintra and only 40 mins from Lisbon. Thank you Rosa

We loved our stay at Rosa's beautiful villa. She has become a friend. We hired a car but I think if you enjoy a walk it's not necessary as the beautiful beaches and restaurants are close by. Also lots of shops to buy snacks, milk etc. The Portuguese people are helpful and friendly. We will be returning

Rosa was an incredibly welcoming host, the place was perfect for our needs. The location is fantastic, a few minutes walk from an incredible beach. Rosa recommended a great local restaurant which we enjoyed immensely. Would stay again.

Beautiful villa and pool in a quiet town close to some of the most beautiful castles, the dinosaur footprints are worth a visit. Rosa is a wonderful host and did everything in her power to make our stay amazing. If you are looking for a quiet relaxing holiday with lots of local cuisine I would highly recommend the Villa Sete - Cottage Sete Mares.

We arrived at the property and were met by Rosa who looks after the villa for the owner. Rosa is lovely and couldn't be more helpful. However, we were greeted by 4 Alsatian dogs caged at the top of the property and whilst they were friendly they barked a lot whenever they saw you and throughout the night which made sleeping difficult as you were constantly being woken up. The property itself was fine, although the beds and bedding smelt damp, certainly the twin room and the main bedroom. The oven did not work either. On a more positive note, the house was very clean, the gardens are lovely and very looked after. The pool was spotless, fresh and lovely to swim in. We are a family of five and we had a nice time but it was a real shame about the dogs and the beds and bedding odour.

We had a lovely time at the property and enjoyed it's somewhat quirky features. Unfortunately one toilet didn't work but having two others meant that was not a real problem. The oven and grill did not appear to work and although clean, the house - particularly bedding, smelt musty Which was unpleasant. We didn't mind it, but having 4 large dogs on the property could really be a negative for some people. The only problem that we had with them was regular barking throughout the night. The issues outlined above are the reasons for the 4 star ratings. The pool was great and the gardens kept immaculately. Rosa was warm and kind when she greeted us and made us feel very welcome.

This is a beautiful villa in a lovely part of Portugal and we would highly recommend it for a holiday. Rosa the owner was there to greet us when we arrived and made us very welcome. In the villa we had a welcome bowl of fruit, a bottle of wine and a lot of basics provided so although we were too late for the shops we could have a drink and relax straightaway. The villa was very clean and had everything that we needed for our stay. There were a lot of towels provided and these were changed mid week so we definitely didn't need to bring any. The pool was lovely and as stated in the description this was private for our villa with plenty of sun loungers a table and chairs and umbrella. We also had a patio area outside the villa which again had tables and chairs and an umbrella and this was the perfect spot for breakfast and lunch. We did hire a car and although you could walk to the village the car was needed for exploring the area and for visiting the supermarket. The nearest large supermarket was in Colares which is only 5 mins away by car but there was also a Lidl in Sintra which was only 20 mins drive. We visited many places and would recommend taking the tram to Sintra and visiting the palace in Sintra but pay for the bus up to the palace because it is a long uphill walk. We tried a lot of restaurants and would recommend the Mateus in the village , which is good value and had craft beers and specialist Gins, and the restaurant at the end of Praia Grande beach, Bar Do Fundo, which had lovely food including seafood , nice desserts and an amazing view and sunset.

Beautiful, comfortable Portuguese Villa. Pool is lovely but not heated. There is so much to do in area too. Had a lovely relaxing holiday.

the house internally is in need of upgrading with respect to the basics ,the TV was very old and the channels available very limited which was an issue for us and our kids the shower hose burst and had to be replaced on the positive side the house is very charming but I question if it works effectively a holiday home where kids are included ,the owner Rosa is a very nice lady and could not have been more helpful the location was very good ,near the beaches and the little town

Very comfortable. Pool great for younger children. Beautiful garden and house had all amenities. Very friendly and helpful owner.
