The photographs were taken some time ago and the property didn't look as neat and tidy upon arrival.  We had informed that we needed the extra bed for our fifth person, however the bed was not made and all laundry was in a cupboard for us to work out what belonged to what??  
The Aircon was in one room only and kept emptying water all over the floor!  
On our last day the we returned to find the bathroom flooded, the Hot water tank had developed a leak.  I spent half an hour mopping the floor and preventing further damage.  I filled a gallon bucket with dirty water from the floor!!  We phoned our contact who sent someone round to take a look.  As suspected there was nothing they could do that night. He assured me we would have hot water the following morning.  This was not the case and we had to bathe in cool water.  However not disconnecting the water tank from the electricity and hoping was a rather dangerous way to leave it!!!
We have received no compensation or apology for any of this. I wouldn't go back!

The apartment is very well situated, very close to the Gran Via, Prado, Royal Palace and Plaza Mayor. Begonia was prompt and helpful. The 3 flight s of stairs are demanding and probably would not suit the old or infirm. 
I would have been happier if I had received the demand for final payment earlier than the night before departure, as I was concerned that the booking had fallen through and that I would have to make alternative arrangements at a very late stage.

Though the blurb  says 3 kms from centre of Salamanca, the photo implies that you can see the cathedrals on the other side of the Tormes and thus it is just about walkable into the historic centre. The reality is a 15 minute bus ride, Santa Marta, another town entirely, partly modern and attractive, partly under construction. Last bus midnight. It did mean that we got to know aspects of ordinary life that in the very tourist oriented centre would not have been obvious. We were very near a bullring, and there was a bull fight for the "Fiesta di Santa Marta",which apart from unexpected shut shops had processions, a lot of noise and fun. Not suitable I would say for people on short visits to see old Salamanca. 
The flat was fine but you cant cook well with 2 electric rings and a microwave. Reception very friendly.
