Bill was very helpful and enthusiastic. We were greeted by father in law Jerzy who graciously escorted us up the road.  Everyone enjoyed being out of the city yet made many trips up the good roads to Kraków. Staying where we did made for many jaunts in the country to find local points of interest. 
The house was clean and bright. Sunrise comes early in the summer.  
I would definitely stay again!

This accommodation is exactly what you need if you want to experience the real life of a polish community away from Kracow but not too far. obviously you are best to have a hire car but we could have done the visit with public transport. the owner was very helpful even though we arrived later than expected, lots of good hints and tips for our visit. the accommodation was very clean and well presented, had everything we needed for the week.

Nice house in close distance to Krakow. Central location for visiting all the major tourist attractions in the neighborhood (e.g. salt mines, Krakow center, Auschwitz, Tatra mountains). Owner is very helpful in giving information about the town (Myslenice), restaurants, shops and supermarkets, where to find public transportation etc. In all a great spot to have a nice holiday.

Just back after our second visit and, once again, a perfect house in a great location.  Krakow is about 45 minutes away and is beautiful with masses of things to see and do but dont miss out on some of the local attractions - Myslenice (lovely square and restaurants), Zarabie (great chairlift to the mountain top) and Dobczyce (castle and museum worth a visit).  Bill and Jerzy could not be more helpful.  Nothing was too much trouble and Bill was so helpful given his local knowledge.  Part of our reason for going to Poland was to try and trace our family history.  We are so grateful to Jerzy for his help with this.  The house is clean, spacious, light, airy and enjoys views over the surrounding mountains.  It is well provided with everything we wanted and Bill was easily contactable with any queries that we had.  Would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone and we look forward to another visit soon.

I stayed here with a total of 4 people and had a really good time here. The house is really spacious, clean and the feel is just like in the photos. But the main benefit of this property is its location:
- Not in Krakau, so really cheap local polish restaurants and beer
- Near Krakau, you can easily get there by car or bus and you can easily negotiate a taxi back for 100 zloty even at 6.30 am. ) Beautiful old city with beautiful people.
- Easily accessible, Myslenice has good road connections.
- There is a river you can swim in
- In the vicinity of places like the Saltmines, Auschwitz and Tatra mountains so perfect for day trips.

Then there is the support you get when staying at the house. Bill (the owner) met us there and even though it was already quite late he took all the time we needed to explain eveything there is to do in the region. And writing down everyhting on a map of Myslenice so we could find everything without a problem (except for an underground pub which was sadly closed down :s). Any questions we had after that were quickly answered by text or e-mail. Bill really makes sure that you know where the fun is in the area.

The property itself is really nice as well. Its clean and nicely restored. It has 2 bathrooms so morning routine is a bit quicker. And has a beautifull garden on the front as well as a place to sit at the back of the house. The kitchen is complete with enough dishes and glasses. All the facilities worked perfectly hot showers, cool fridge, tv with dvd-player and central heating. The only criticism I have was that the frying pan was a bit awfull, but with so many good and cheap restaurants you arent going to use that anyway.

I would really recommend this property to anyone wanting to explore Krakau and its surroundings from a comfortable place to stay which isnt to touristic.

The  property is larger and more spacious than appears on the website. Great location for visiting all the tourist sites. Bill the owner was extremely helpful and gave us invaluable local info, parking, restaurants, shopping etc  He was available by telephone and offered to organise horse riding etc. We had a fantastic time and would happily recommend this to anyone. .

The Retreat is a comfortable, good sized house, furnished and decorated in an attractive style. The situation is beautiful - surrounded by fields and trees with a view of the distant mountains, but at the same time bordered by other houses, and within easy reach of local restaurants. You will find here all the equipment you will need for a family of six or more. Our only very minor disappointment was the TV - very few entertaining channels to watch, and virtually nothing but the news in English. The local town of Myslenice is well worth exploring, and it is an easy days excursion to Zakopane in the Tatra mountains, or to the Wielikzka salt mines, also to Auschwitz which is an unforgettable experience. The Retreat is a very good centre for visiting so many places of interest - and good to come home to at the end of the day!
