We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at Villa Hellan - 2 to 16 September. The villa is positioned up the hill from the Playa Bonita hotel so we do recommend having a car to get around and explore the area. The villa surroundings were well looked after and the gardens were great for finding little seating areas etc. The terrace and little conservatory had been thoughtfully furnished. The four bedrooms were all nicely decorated although the twin with ensuite was looking a little tired in terms of the curtain fabric.  Having said that it looks as though the owners are working their way through the villa and updating rooms. The kitchen was one of the best in terms of equipment available that we have used over many years of villa holidays.  The only issue is that there is no parking directly outside the villa - you do have to park down the road. The pool was cleaned twice a week and our granddaughter loved her time in there. The owner was very helpful with questions that I had in advance of our trip. All in all I would recommend that if you want to avoid being right in the thick of the very touristy coastline but still have access to the supermarkets/restaurants then Villa Hellan is an ideal choice.

What a beautiful Villa, we have just returned from one week stay here and we will most definitely be looking to return in the future. 
The villa is amazing, the photos on the website don't do it justice particularly the view from the living room right out across the coast, that view should be a feature photo to be included on here, but at the same time was a lovely surprise on our arrival really waw what a view! 
The facilities are of a high standard and the villa, pool and garden are very well kept and clean. 
We paid extra for the pool to be heated and it was perfect the property manger told us to cover the pool each night to get the best heat in the pool and this worked really. 
The barbecue area was fantastic and we ate out in the garden a few nights. 
We travelled with a 2 year old and the villa was perfectly child friendly and safe for him, there was a gate and a canopy we could close down to stop him wandering to the pool area if we needed to. There was a high chair in the lounge and we found a travel cot in a wardrobe, altho we didn't use it, it was there. 
There are 3 steps inside the villa but that is all so pretty much all on the one level which is great.
The Owner was brilliant to communicate with prior to our holiday very helpful and friendly. 
Overall 5 stars we had a brilliant relaxed holiday here, highly recommend to anyone.

I stayed here with 5 of my girlfreinds during the last May Bank Holiday to celebrate a 40th and 50th birthday.. We couldnt have asked for more ..It definitly exceeded our expectations. The Villa was stunning with the most amazing views, and we didnt want for anything. 
The area is very peaceful and its just a short walk down the hill to the train station and also a Kwik Save Supermarket. We didnt have a car so ordered taxis to take us out and about which was very easy. A wonderful stay and we will definitely be back :)

The villa was exceptional, all mod cons and beautifully presented. The view over looking the town was lovely. Maybe slighty out of the way but there was a reliable train station nearby which in one direction took you to Fuengirola and in the other Benalmadena. There really is no need for a car but the villa is situated on a hill so maybe not suitable for the infirm! Overall, nice an peaceful during the day but within easy reach of the town centres for restaurants/pubs and clubs. Excellent, will definitely book again.

Our second stay at this lovely villa, very comfortable, tastefully kitted out with everything you could want. Very private and well located away from the tourist areas but near enough to a variety of resorts and places to visit. The owners are very helpful and generous with their efforts to make sure you have everything you need.

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful equipted house. A car is necessary because the supermarkets in town are to far and down the hill from the house

The villa was beautiful - marble floors throughout and heated in the master bedroom suite and bathroom. The kitchen has been recently renovated and was lovely and easy to work in. The location was probably the best aspect, however, situated just 5 minutes from the local train station and 5 minutes from a couple of supermarkets. We took several day trips both south to Fuengirola and Marbella, as well as north to Granada. The only negative aspect was the lack of pool heating, rendering the pool area merely decorative. Teenagers were very disappointed since that was the one criterion everyone wanted in a villa.

we have just come back (may 2012) and the villa exceeded are expextations was great for the kids and celebrate Karltons and Sonia 4th anniversary would rccomend to anyone who would like a fabolous relaxing break

We loved our holiday at Villa Hellan. Our 4 and 6 year old daughters spent all their time in the pool while we were able to relax and watch them. The villa is well placed, well maintained and well equipped and the holiday felt like a home from home but with wonderful weather! The villa is very clean and child friendly. The living space is large and you quickly begin to unwind in the lovely surroundings. The managing agents responded quickly to any issues and the whole holiday was one we would like to repeat as soon as possible. We would recommend this villa to everyone as we found no fault with our 2 weeks what-so-ever.

Top, Top quality accomodation. It really made everyone's holiday. Everything about the villa and it's setting was perfect. Highly recommend to anyone interested. When we look for our next holiday we know where to look!!
