Thank you to all at Riad Linda who made our trip to Marrakech such a great experience. We stayed in The Douiria which was very spacious and very clean and comfortable.
From making the booking with Linda, who offered such good advice and tips, from arriving to Jemaa el fna to be met with the very helpful Wadeer, meeting Racheed , who assisted with any request we had, and Fatila who cooked a lovely breakfast every morning and who makes a mean lemon chicken! Not really any more we could have asked for.
We would have no hesitation to recommending this delightful, homely Riad!
Room Tip: Would recommend the Douiria - well worth the little extra

Easy to find - right in the heart of the Medina - staying at the fabulous Riad Linda gives you a great base to explore the city.
It was 48 degrees C when we stayed - the Air Con in our room was brilliant!
Staff were great - very helpful - and provided a lovely breakfast.
A real flavour of Morocco - Ive got no hesitation in recommending this little hidden gem to you.

We had a lovely, relaxing stay in this beautiful riad. Only a few minutes walk away from the action, but such peace & quiet here. the sun was shining & all the staff made us feel so welcome & were always helpful & polite with a great sense of humour! The rooms were very clean, comfortable & most importantly cool. The air conditioning here works a treat, very important when you visit here during the summer months. we didnt do very much, lots of lounging about & relaxing & enjoying the cool terrace in the evenings. - a wee gem! Thank you all at Riad Linda

We stayed at Riad Linda for four nights at the beginning of May. It is an excellent place to stay, right in the centre of Marrakesh. You will not find a better location for exploring the town. The main square is a few minutes walk away, as are the souks and other cultural attractions.
The Riad itself is also superb. Tucked away down a small derb (side street) it is a wonderful place to retreat to after the intensity of Marrakesh.
The accommodation is very clean and tidy. We had new towels and bed linen every day. Furthermore, Fasila (the chef) also folded our clothes for us. The rooms are spacious, cool and clean - we had the orange room. Breakfast was really nice on the terrace in the morning sun with fresh coffee, juice and a selec tion of breads/omelettes.
The staff are lovely very welcoming and helpful. The manager Rachid gave us lots of useful advice on how best to enjoy our stay - making us aware of what is the right price to pay for something (e.g. taxis/tours/hammams etc). My friend had mentioned how much he liked the honey at breakfast... on our last day Rachid presented him with a whole jar as a gift. A small gesture but so kind and thoughtful - made us feel like we had genuinely been "guests" as well as just customers.
We HIGHLY recommend this Riad. Given the low price, it is excellent value for money. Would stay there again.

Recently had a fantastic stay at Riad Linda. They organised a hassle free transfer from the airport which was great as we arrived in the evening. The Riad is lovely, great rooms and fab roof terrace. Nice place to escape the madness of the souks. The staff provided an excellent above and beyond service. Thank you Riad Linda!

I have been to Marrakech many times mainly with school parties and groups of fronds in hotels. If you want to experience the real Marrakech then staying in a Riad is the only way to do this. Linda is the perfect host and I would definitely stay here again. I ate in the Riad on the first night and the meal was excellent. Breakfast was also well served with plenty to eat and I loved the strawberry jam. The location is perfect and everyone was very friendly. I would certainly recommend to friends and I would stay there again.

If you are a group of friends or couple, I would thoroughly recommend Marrakech as a destination, and Riad Linda as a the perfect place to stay. We were made to feel very welcome by the friendly staff and felt quite safe whilst out together in the souks. Rachid and Wadeer were absolute treasures, very attentive and efficient in accomodating our every needs. This riad is the ideal choice for travellers who enjoy having delicious breakfasts served on the rooftop rather than queuing for food, the option of a delicious meal cooked and served in the riad with lovely local wine brought in, coffee/tea served in the afternoon with delicious pastries bought at the patisserie at the end of the alley and a place to retreat to in the afternoon for a nap or rest before embarking on an excursion later on. The riad was beautifully presented, and each room was tastefully decorated with original art work. This is my fourth visit to Marrakech, however I had not been to some of the places Linda recommended to visit and the advise she gave was extremely helpful. We were able to eat in some of the more interesting and less touristy restaurants thanks to her. Taxis to and from the riad are best booked through her or Rachid. April is one of the best times to visit as in my experience a riad can be rather chilly in winter, however there are heaters and the treat of hot water bottles if you need them. Pack summer clothes for spring, but the shopping is amazing, so just make sure you have left enough space in your suitcase for it all. Many thanks to everyone at Riad Linda for everything you did for us and I will definitely be coming back again.

For a first visit to Marrakech, this was a truly wonderful experience. As soon as you stepped through the door of Riad Linda, you knew that you were going to enjoy your stay. The welcome was sincere, and the kindness and attentiveness of Linda and her staff continued throughout the holiday they could not do enough for you to make your stay as special as it could be, whether it was suggesting places to go for coffee or lunch, or organising taxis for trips out. The food served was delicious even the breakfasts served up on the terrace were always a gastronomic delight! The rooms were beautiful full of colour and very clean. The locality of Riad LInda is ideal, being only a stones throw from the main square Jemaa El Fna and all the surrounding souks and market traders. I cant wait to make a return visit!

I would not have changed a thing about our stay at Riad Linda. Linda was super-nice, the staff on-site was more than accommodating. Staying at a Riad is the only way for a truly authentic experience in Marrakesh. Do not expect a luxury hotel. Do expect a lovely bed & breakfast open to the desert sun, tucked back through the windy alleyways off the square. It was just perfect! Anything you wanted to do was quickly arranged by Rachid and for a very nice price. This is really the only way to do it in my mind.

Had a wonderful long weekend in Riad Linda - so close to all the hustle and bustle of the main square yet perfectly peaceful and serene once in the Riad. The staff were really friendly and helpful and had a great day trip to the atlas mountains organised by Rashid and many thanks to our driver Mohammed. Breakfasts were lovely and the roof terrace was georgous with our own soft seating area (not on the photos) where you could really lie out and relax in the shade. Loved how you went down little alleyways to get to the riad entrance and once inside your own beautiful space opened up. Great value and thank you to Linda and her staff for making it such a wonderful stay.

Our thank to the wonderful staff who made our trip to Marrakech so special. a fantastic holiday. A great place to stay and very well looked after. Breakfast was wonderful on he terrace. strolling in the souks is great & riad Linda a very calm & paceful retreat from all the madness !Do try one of fadilas dinners & you will not be disappointed.
Dont be put off by the winding walk along the narrow street to finally arrive at this Riad. Once there, you will find superb and spacious rooms, excellent staff and courteous service. The Riad has a superb relaxing roof terrace and very welcome air-con in the bedrooms. The route to and from the Riad becomes suprisingly easy to navigate and you are on the doorstep of the main suqare and activities yet just far enough away to find the tranquility of calm on the roof tarrace area. Superb location and I woudl certainly have no hesitation in using this Riad again.
i travelled to Morocco recently with my husband. It was our very first trip and we felt quite vervous. We neednt have worried at all as the staff at Riad Linda were incredibly lind and looked after us so well. We soon relaxed and were able to take in all the sites, sounds and smells that make Marrakech such a special place. Our favourite trip was to the Marjorelle gardens. we got there fairly early and we had the place pratically to ourselves. The riad was a very welcome place to return to at the end of each day & relax on the roof terrace. we had dinner there on night & thoroughly enjoyed fadilas chicken with olives and preserved lemons. cant wait to go back.
This is a very pretty, quiet riad in the heart of the Medina, tucked away at the end of a winding street leading off the bustling Derb Dabachi. We were in a group of nine, made up of two families and we took over the whole building. All bedrooms had an ensuite bathroom and breakfast was freshly prepared for us each morning, so the facilities were very good. There is also a lovely roof terrace where you can sunbathe or have a quiet drink. Wed booked our trip for August without any consideration for the heat, so it was great that the riad was so close to the souks and the Jemaa El Fna, as we could spend the mornings and evenings exploring and haggling and still stagger back each afternoon for a siesta and a bit of a cool down. We all enjoyed staying here very much and we would definitely come again.
staued there recently with my 2 daughters and my husband. Everyonr had a fantastic time. there really is something there for everyone. My daughters explored the souks whilst my husband and i enjoyed all the sigtes. This riad has a fantastic location. we were very central which made it asy for us to come back during the day for a reast before venturing out again. Lovely staff, couldnt do enough for us. Will all want to come back again soon. Will be telling all our friends
This was my first visit & I am coming back. despite the heat i really enjoyed the visit. The riad is beautiful, very clean & well decorated. A lovely welcoming atmosphere and kind caring staff. felt very comfortable and will recommend to everyone!. good luck linda
First time in Morocco and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Riad Linda was the perfect place to retreat back to from a hot day in the souks. The rooms were clean, comfortable and with well needed air con. The staff went out of their way to assist and ensure we made the most of our stay in Marrakesh. The location of the Riad was ideal, just a two minute walk to the huste and bustle of the medina. Would highly recommend!
This was a great place to stay as its hidden away from the heat and engagement of Marrakech, being pretty quiet and tucked away from the souqs, etc. A big, decent breakfast every morning (a great optional dinner if you want to pay to eat in, which I recommend), a very helpful concierge always in and an English speaking hotel manager who can help organise day trips (etc.). Also, Linda is exceptionally helpful and willing to give time to any queries you may have.
We (two adults and two teenagers) had a great stay in Marrakech staying at the Riad Linda. The Riad is perfectly situated, just five minute’s walk away from the Djemaa el fna, and a real oasis from the hustle, bustle and heat. Riad Linda was tastefully decorated comfortable beds, very clean and we were prepared for the day with a filling breakfast on the roof terrace. Wahid (the concierge) and Fasilla (the maid and cook) didn’t speak any English and little French but we were able to get along just fine with smiles and gesticulations.
Marrakech has changed both in terms of its size and attitude since we last visited nearly 20 years ago, we were not hassled by people wanting to be our guide and able to walk around the souks at will. We always felt safe and embraced by the city.
We really enjoyed our stay and would love to go back in the future and explore more of Morocco.
I travelled with my daughter (in her twenties) for a special break in Marrakech, having never been there before. I was completely unprepared for the shear madness of the place, but from the moment we were met by the driver at the airport right until the moment we were ushered into a taxi 3 days later, we were made to feel truly welcome and like friends by the Riad staff. The driver took us as far as he could towards the Riad on arrival, then picked up Waheed who walked us with our cases the rest of the way - past the madness of the souks and down the narrow Derb (watching out for donkey carts and motorbikes!). On arrival, Rachid welcomed us and Fadela had prepared a wonderful chicken tagine. We had the pink double room, which although basic, was very comfortable with an excellent shower. The next morning, I met Linda (the Scottish owner - who was there for a few days herself), who gave me some tips which proved very useful. The Riad terrace is a very pleasant place to sit, and we got great weather in which to enjoy it. The building has been recently renovated and Linda is a proud owner indeed. As our holiday progressed, we became more and more glad of our little retreat only a few minutes from the square. It meant that we could take the sensory overload of this city in bite-size pieces, punctuated by small rests back at the Riad. The souk experience is not to be missed, the haggling (even for a taxi ride) becomes quite enjoyable after a while, and the calls to prayer become quite soporific after the first crazy one during the night (at 5am every day!!). We learned to dodge the hordes, the animals, the bikes and cars, and the carts with dexterity. But beware of some of the people in the square who will demand money for any type of interaction and will herd you into their restaurant/souk/henna sitting at every opportunity - advice is just not to get into a conversation unless you want to buy something. We loved the little kids hanging outside the riad next door and the smells which waft past while relaxing on the terrace, and Fadelas plentiful breakfasts were just fabulous. And on our last day, a taxi was organised to take us to our next hotel (which believe me, would not have been easy to do on our own), and the guys gave my daughter flowers as it was her birthday. A truly memorable holiday - thank you, Linda, for sharing your home.
Dont be put off by the approach to the Riad Linda, inside, all is very tranquil. The rooms are comfortable, the proximity to "the square" is great and the staff were all really helpful. Rachid was great in organising our room for us, and gave us lots of very useful local info. Fadila cooked a lovely meal for our first evening and breakfast was very enjoyable. I am not certain how Wouddi s name is spelt, but he was always there to help and was brilliant making our breakfast on our last morning at 6.30am for us to catch the early Ryanair flight to Luton.
We had an interesting and very enjoyable trip Marrakech and the Riad Linda gave us a great retreat from the intensity of the Madina.

We had a lovely time at Riad Linda. Its a nice small Riad in the Medina - not far from everything in Marrakech. We have done the whole sightseeing by walk - it was a easy to find everything. On the roof of the Riad we had some nice relaxing hours - enjoying brakfast, sunshine and blue sky.
Thanks to Linda and her staff that we could enjoy our time in Marrakech again.
Riad Linda is about 5 minutes walk from the main square of Marrakech . There are other Riads in the same area which so there are normally other tourists around.. The local owners have put lots of large plant pots in the streets and keep the streets clean and tidy. The riad is newly renovated and has been furnished in a traditional style. The accommodation is spacious and colourful. The roof terrace is excellent and has good views all round, on winters days you can see the Atlas Mountains . The concierge, Sayed, is very helpful and speaks some English. He can point you in the right direction for local points of interest. If you need anything more complicated, as I did, he has a local contact, Rachid, who speaks excellent English and was very helpful. I would highly recommend Riad Linda for a break in MarrakechMaroma December 2009
Riad Linda is a cleverly modernised traditional Morrocan townhouse right at the heart of the old town offering all mod cons. There is a super roof terrace from which the Atlas Mountains can be seen in the distance.Great for sunbathing or relaxing in the evening. Those of a retiring nature or European sensibility may find The Medina a bit of a culture shock, but you soon learn to negotiate the colourful and noisy throngs.Loads of things to see and do and plenty of local eateries, mostly inexpensive,to try.Highly recommended.David November 2009
We had a great stay here at Riad Linda in October 2009. The Riad is very well situated at the end of a traditional narrow street just a few minutes from the main square: Place Jemaa El Fna. We took a petit taxi from the airport and then a porter took our bags on his trolley to the Riad. The Riad is in the heart of the Medina (old town) which is not accessible by cars, but is full of intriguing shops and stalls as well as people bikes and carts. We were also very impressed by how clean the whole town is. A great place for practising your school french, but most people also speak good English. There is a real buzz to the place. We didn't do any of the out of town excursions available, we'd come to rest. Having said that we visited a Hamman, for a steam bath and massage, took a trip in a Caleche... a fabulous horse drawn carriage, and spent hours wandering, drinking the beautiful fresh orange juice and people watching from the cafes. The restaurants are all good, local Morrocan food is tasty and inexpensive. If you want to go back to the west for a while, then go to the new town up Avenue Mohammmed V, you'll find restaurants and shops just like at home. The Medina though is full of life and you can haggle and bargain to your hearts content in the tiny shops and narrow streets. Remember to set a price in advance though if you go by carriage or taxi, and just smile, people smile back! The Riad itself is clean, fresh and very comfortable, we felt very safe and secure. You can buy everything you need in the shops round about and the concierge will help if you need it. The bedrooms are a good size and beautifully presented with en-suite facilities. There's a good kitchen if you want to cook and plenty of room to lounge around in the sun on the terraces. We can highly recommend Riad Linda.Sally & Colin October 2009
